[Correspondence of the Richmond Dispatch.]

A Successful Skirmish — The Enemy in the Valley, &c.
Augusta County, Va, May 3d, 1862.
Yesterday thirty wagons were taken from a foraging party — the wagons burnt and the horses and harness brought into our camp. Our cavalry make it very difficult for the enemy to obtain supplies. It is said that Col. Ashby's men have killed a thousand within a few months. They kill hundreds of whom you hear nothing.

It is said that the enemy has been largely reinforced near Buffalo Gap.
