Gen. Pillow
--Gen. Pillow was in this city on Saturday last, on his way to Richmond, and at the request of some of our citizens he addressed the people in the Court-House. The General gave quite an interesting account of the battle of Fort Donelson, and expressed the belief that when President Davis should come to know the facts connected with his conduct in that battle, or rather after it, when he left with his men, he would relieve him from his present suspense and assign him again to duty. He referred to the expected battle in the Mississippi valley as one of very great importance.--Raleigh Standard.
