The victory to be Celebrated
--In view of the recent successes of the national arms. it is fitting, says the Herald, that we should set apart a day for their celebration in this city; and as the anniversary of the birth of Washington occurs on the 23d of the present month. We suggest that that is the proper one to be selected. Philadelphia has already decided upon it, and no doubt other cities will do likewise. Such a demonstration on our part will be in accordance with the fast days which we observed last year, and will give us all on opportunity of testifying our joy over the rapid progress new making towards the of this Union and the extinction the rebellion.
