Melancholy Accident.
--On the night of the 7th inst., a soldier, while coming down with other invalids by the Central Railroad, fell from the train near Bumpas's Turnont, in Louisa county, and the wheels passed over him, severing his body in twain. The disaster was not discovered until the next morning when it was ascertained from papers on his person that his name was Henry C. Lynch, and that he belonged to the 36th Tennessee Regiment. A book of original compositions was also found, which denoted an intellectual and educated mind. An inquest was held on Tuesday, by Coroner T. A. Longan, aided by Constable John S. Coates, which resulted in a verdict in accordance with the foregoing facts. The body was interred with suitable marks of respect.
