Sep. Rosende, the prisoner of war we mentioned yesterday as having come to the city in custody of Major Haskins, was, we are informed by Mr. William D. Hix, sheriff of Appomattox county, arrested in his county, and sent hither by the County Court thereof, in the said sheriff's charge. Mr. Hix also brought a musket to the Confederate authorities captured by C. H. Jones, Esq., member of the House of Delegates from Appomattox, while fighting on his own hook in the battle of Manassas.
