A horse for Gen. Beauregard.

--It is well known that Gen. Beauregard lost his horse at the battle of Manassas. To supply the deficiency this loss occasions, some considerate friend in one of our sister States has made the brave man a present of another horse. The animal has been forwarded to this city, and is now at the stables of Mr. James Fish, awaiting further orders from the donor before being sent forward to its destination. Mr. Fish is, as yet, ignorant of the donor's name. The horse is a most noble specimen of the equine race. He is fifteen hands and three inches high; clean-limbed, broad chested and symmetrical; a stately carriage; fat and sleek; of a dappled steel-grey color. To our eyes, he appears one of the finest models of a horse we have ever seen.--Augusta Chronicles.
