Spiritualism in England.
--The Brighton (Eng) Herald says that Spiritualism, instead of losing ground in England, "is flourishing and vigorous, not only among the ignorant and insane, but among men of repute, who might fairly be looked on as superior to any trickery so barefaced and wicked. At this moment there are several literary circles in London who are lending their aid to the spread of the delusion, and we could name more than one eminent man who is a decided victim to it.--Sittings are frequent in the best circles; mediums are tolerated in the highest quarters; and even the Church does not fall to add its quota to the herd of the misguided and the deluded." Among the recent converts are Lord Lyndhurst, Sir E. Bulwer Lytton, Robert Chambers, Mrs. Browning, and many other literary and scientific celebrities.
