Foreign Failures.

--Messrs Pedroso & Co., one of the best known banking and commission firms in Havana, have been compelled to suspend payment. It is said they asked for a loan of $300,000, offering for security real estate in the city of Havana worth half a million; but were unable to obtain it. They went into business a few years ago with a capital of $2,400,000, most of which it is supposed was invested in sugar estates. They were considered strong, and were highly respected.

The London papers announce the suspension of Mr. Thomas Dowling, of London and Birmingham. He was engaged in the lumber trade, and his liabilities are estimated at £50,000.
