The First Town Lighted with Water Gas. Aurora, a town about twenty-five miles from Cincinnati, has been successfully illuminated wish water gas during the past two weeks.

The Cincinnati Commercial says:

‘ "The gas works, capable of supplying the assumption of Aurora for many years to comes have been in steady operation for two weeks, produce a pure, brilliant, and almost careless gas. So well pleased are the citizens, that many who had held off fearing the final result, are now having fixtures placed in their houses. At present, there are nearly five hundred burners, supplied through seven thousand feet of main pipe in the streets. Water that works cost one-third less than coal gas weeks of the same capabilities, as we are in work and can be managed by one-third the number of men"
