--The seamen taken from the slave ship Erie and sent to Portsmouth, N. H., for trial, have been convicted of voluntary serving on board that vessel, but sentence is reserved until the next term of the court, when the government proposes to try them on a higher charge, which, if proved, will cost them their lives.
