The remains of Mr. Stearns were transiently deposited, we believe, in the Cemetery of Pere la Chaise.
The name in this case reminds us that it is understood some memorial, other than yet exists, will be erected over the remains of Asahel Stearns, of Cambridge, who died in February, 1839, aged 64 years; not unknown in political life, for he was a Member of Congress during one session of that body, but more distinguished by professional ability and success.
