[86] Ἕκτορ: the voc. in Greek poetry is often placed for emphasis before the clause with which it is connected. Of course it has no syntactical construction.
ἀτάρ: follows the voc., as 429, 22.331; cf. “ὦ Φίντις, ἀλλὰ ζεῦξον ἤδη μοι σθένος ἡμιόνων” Pind. Ol. vi. 22.
πόλινδε: the locative force of -“δε” is repeated in the prep. of “μετέρχεο. — εἰπέ”: say, i.e. bid.
