VICUS DRUSIANUS

a street in Region I, mentioned only in the Capitoline Base (CIL vi. 975). It was probably named from the ARCUS DRUSI (q.v.), which is supposed to have stood on the via Appia not far north of its junction with the via Latina. From this point a street ran north-east over the hill to the present Lateran, which can be traced by its pavement for the first part of its course, and corresponds closely with the Via della Ferratella. This may be the vicus Drusianus (HJ 216; LA 267-268).
