VICUS CENSORI
perhaps the only vicus on the island (CIL vi. 975). It is mentioned in two other inscriptions (vi. 451, 821), and was probably named after an earlier member of the family, whose first representative known to us is C. Censorius Niger, in the second century (RE iii. 1910; Gilb. iii. 54; HJ 638; Besnier 54-55).
