Full moon and a starving Luna

Hello peeps, Luna here, the little cute guinea piggy.

Mom and I, we love him. We stood there for hours, gazing at him.

If you missed him, here he is.

There was also a mini lunar eclipse to see on thursday. We nearly missed it because Mom forgot it. Then the tripod was not ready to hand and all the camera settings had to be done in the dark and in a hectic pace.

Here is what Mom finally got. 

  

And see what they had for coffee last sunday. The first strawberry cake this year.

 I have been outside in the garden with my piggy bro Lurchi Leopold. We still dont´t like it there and spent the most time hiding in our house.

There are so many scary animals.

Ants.

Neighbours pest cat.

Raptors.

But one good thing can be reported: Spring was here!

Spring tastes soo good!

We munched down all of Moms photo models hehe.

After three wonderful days of sunshine and warmth, we are back to cold and rainy weather.

But thats just how it is.... so we make the best of it.

..........oder "survival of the fittest". Glauben wir einfach mal, die Mäuse waren  krank oder uralt und sind jetzt im Mäusehimmel.....

Darf ich vorstellen...........Lucy, mein Bussard.............mein Star am Himmel.......... ganz ohne Diamanten!

May I introduce...............Lucy, my buzzard.............my star in the sky...........who doesn´t need diamonds!

Manchmal ist er nicht zu  überhören und meldet seinen Kontrollflug über den Garten lauthals an. Dann lasse ich alles stehen und liegen und hoffe, dass das richtige Objektiv auf der Kamera ist. Dass der Akku eingelegt ist. Dass eine Speicherkarte drin ist. Dass auf dieser Speicherkarte noch Platz ist. Dass Auto-Focus aktiviert ist. Dass der Zeitautomat nicht aktiv ist.

Lange Rede kurzer Sinn: Dass ich die Gunst der Stunde nutzen kann und die Fotos nicht durch falsche Einstellungen völlig vermassle.

Sometimes I can hear him announcing his check-flight over the garden loud and clear . This case I leave everything behind and hope, that the zoom-lens is on the camera. That the battery works. That a memory card is in. That there is space enough on this card. That the auto-focus is activated. That the auto-timer is not activated.

Long story short: That I can take advantage of the situation and do not drop the ball because of wrong camera settings.

Ich habe gelernt, 90° zur Sonne erscheint das Himmelblau am intensivsten.

I learned, 90° to the sun, the blue of the sky appears most blue.

Mein Problem mit den Fotos gegen den Himmel ist, dass oft der Himmel schön blau, aber das Gefieder des Vogels nicht erkennbar ist. Mit diesem Ergebnis bin ich schon sehr glücklich.

My problem by doing photos from birds in the sky is, that often the blue is nice but the birds feather has no marking. With a result like this, I´m already happy.

Ich arbeite hart am Bussard-Modus meiner Kamera....

I´m still working hard at the buzzard mode of my camera...

Ich liebe meinen Bussard. Und meine Kamera, wenn sie macht, was ich will.

I love my buzzard. And my camera, when she does what I want her to do.

Und zum Schluss das Beste: Die Bussarde sind zu zweit unterwegs! Vielleicht suchen sie hier einen Platz zum Brüten? Das wäre traumhaft!
