I've said enough on this forum about this precise point and indeed, my opinion (i) is that a minimum of DP features is required in VS, and (ii) was that a dedicated app is/was needed. However, I'm not so convinced any more: all the indications are that we'll have to wait until VS development is complete, and it will also be difficult to compete with InDesign/QXP, which are affordable for DP professionals (one job order is enough to cover their annual cost). APh, APub & also AD are already good apps, and it wouldn't take much to make them very attractive to complex DP projects... and there are already so many great apps for photo editing...

Setting compute engine to "Software" seems to fix it. Thanks.

@Harry I tried the same steps as the recording with the same driver on Windows 11, but here the paper type is remembered. One thing to try: create an empty document, and print one page with that printer but first change the paper type. Then (after printing) save the document and send it to me by email. VS should save the last printing settings with the document. I can check if it has been saved correctly.

@JuurGroove This is only possible now as a recorded action (using Actions panel). But I can add some predefined actions of the common alignment types.
