"Hide Bleed" Option and exporting Bleeds through PNG, JPG, etc

  • An option to "Hide Bleed" will help in instances where we are finalizing an image and need to space elements out. This would be really helpful, especially in my case as I output for print and screen. I'd like to be able to see the screen version more easily. For print, I do need the bleed, but being able to hide the bleed let's me finalize the composition and then the bleed is is something I can flesh out for extra material so I am guaranteed to have it when I go to chop a print...

I think I mentioned this before, there is currently no way to export a raster image (PNG, for example) with the full bleed. This option is needed where I run my print jobs through software better designed for my printer, such as when I need certain features (multiple images per sheet for chop), or even sending a job to a printshop.. they will need a bleed in many cases.

Or, in another case, when I need to use my cutter, I may need to work within the software itself to final print and having images exported with bleed are especially beneficial in those cases as the extra image material will prevent white borders from showing.

    Thanks!

@debraspicher The export with bleed is still in the feature list.

How would this "Hide Bleed" work? Would it be a display (for screen) option?

  • @VectorStyler It's just for display to make it easier to preview the final

It might be more practical to call it a "Show bleed" option.
