Day 212: AHSC Hey Sunshine Card

How cute is this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge sketch
I grabbed some of my Zoe hounds-tooth patterned paper for the card base.  Then I layered on a border sticker from the Zoe Complements. That's where I got that adorable bit of floral chipboard and the heart arrow sticker too,
I stamped the sentiments using Memento Tuxedo Black in onto the Zoe chipboard and onto a numbered sticker that I then trimmed close. The stamps came from the September Hello Life promotion.  I filled the sunshine sentiment with shimmer gel pen. I added a few hearts from the La Vie En Rose Complements, one chipboard and one vellum.

I did my hand-stitching while I was having a crafty coffee date with a friend this morning, a pleasant way to finish off my AHSC card for this week!

Day 187: Happy Sunshine Day Scrapbook Layout

Tonight I was itching to scrap something instead of making a card. The boys had a busy day, which lead to a tough afternoon, so I wanted to smile and remember how much I love them.
I popped over to Stuck Sketches for some layout inspiration. Sometimes a tired momma needs an adorable place to start! I built this layout on a base of Whisper cardstock. I stamped the base with the FUN sentiment from the ZOE Workshop on the Go Kit using Slate ink. Then I layered on Zoe papers mixed with some bits of Blossom papers. I'm gonna miss those Blossom papers when they retire in four more days.
I trimmed out a piece of a Babycakes Picture My Life Card for the upper left corner of the page. I hand sketched this circle accent, and hand trimmed the green dot Zoe arrows for the journaling. I got the vellum sunshine from the Zoe Complements, and the LIFE button from the Zoe assortment.
The lower circle element is stamped from Doodled Designs. I added that awesome sticker from my leftover Wildwood My Crush assortment. I stamped the title pieces with the Zoe WOTG stamp set, and that's also where that sweet arrow stamp came from, too. I'm linking this layout up to the Heart 2 Heart Good Day Sunshine Challenge.

Scrapbooking is my therapy - I feel a lot better now. Tomorrow is another (sunshine) day!

Day 186: Mojo Happy Birthday Card

Tonight I was playing with the new Mojo Monday Sketch.
I wanted to use my favorite Doodled Designs, but the circle was a bit too small, so I doodled my own bigger circle using a skinny black marker and my shimmer gel pen. I sanded some Sorbet cardstock for the band, and added black stamped stitches using the Zoe WOTG stamp set.
I added a framed sentiment using the August SOTM. Then I topped the card off with some Zoe Assortment buttons and green epoxy dots. Fast, fun, and done! See ya tomorrow!

Day 184: Atlantic Hearts Hello Card

It's Monday, which means it's time for another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge
I had this teensy Hello sticker banner leftover from my Zoe Scrapbook kit pages. So I stamped a Sunshine tag using a bit of the printed zip strip. I love that every page comes with a 1/2" bonus print/element!
I hand trimmed some strips from the Zoe Arrow print paper. Then I added some grey sequins topped with Aqua Dots. I hope you'll hop over to Atlantic Hearts and give this week's sketch a whirl!

Day 182: Zoe 6 page Scrapbooking Kit Sneak Peek

Welcome back, Stampin' Friends! My fingers are a-flying over the keyboard tonight working on the instructions for the Monthly Memories Zoe Scrapbooking kit. I'll have those finished tomorrow for the kit release...in the mean time, here's a little sneak peek of what's coming...
Isn't this just the most adorable paper? I could have made so many more pages as the colors and the sweet new Complements are just simply fun, fun, fun! I hope you love the fabulous mix of chipboard, sticker, and vellum in the new style of Complements as much as I do. I'll share all six pages tomorrow once I finish up the instructions for y'all.  Scrappy hugs!

Day 181: Zoe Happy Birthday Card

Tonight I decided to do another take on the current Cardabilities sketch. I already made this card using the sketch, but Then I saw this color challenge from ColourQ, and I wanted to pull out more of the gray color.
So I chose some grey woodgrain for the card background. I stamped it with Slate ink and the HAPPY BIRTHDAY sentiment from the August SOTM. Then I swooped some clear Wink of Stella over the background for a subtle shimmer.
I laid down my current fav cloudy heart washi tape and topped it with a Sorbet Zoe polka dot banner. I added a Slate frame with a Glacier sentiment in the center and a few cricut cut flowers I found hanging out in my scrap bin. Serendipity!

Day 176: Sending Love Your Way Card

Today I got my order from Love My Tapes, and I couldn't wait to bust into the rolls of goodness.
I based my card on the new sketch from Cardabilities. Instead of the banner I added a swath of this adorable heart cloud washi tape. I think it's gonna be a favorite, so cheerful and bright!
Then I paper pieced the balloon from Lifting Spirits using Zoe papers. I'm so bummed that Lifting Spirits is retiring at the end of this month, I need to get a few more projects in with this set! I added some sparkly accents with a shimmer gel pen and a red Wink of Stella marker. Quick and simple so I can tuck it into the mail for a special friend tomorrow!

Day 174: Have a Happy Day Card

Tonight I was out of steam. The boys and I did a morning of trampolining, then I made tortillas so I could make tacos, which turned into tacos for 7 children and a backyard ball game and some seriously competitive Duck, Duck, Goose. Then during bedtime I got smacked in the face with a large Buzz Lightyear doll. I was tired. I was grumpy. My face hurt. I wanted to curl up on the couch and watch Gilmore Girls and have a glass of wine eat gummi bears.
So I went downstairs. I sat down at my table...and suddenly everything just felt better. I grabbed some Zoe paper and my Lovely Birthday stamp set. I whipped up a simple card using the new CAS(E) this Sketch challenge sketch. It took ten minutes, tops. My heart was lighter. The grumpies were gone. Just one moment out of this busy, wonderful day just for me.
Today CTMH shared this blog post about why Scrapbooking is good for you. Reading it made me smile and really struck a chord for me. Plus, I'm in the first photo on the post, laughing with my girls at Convention, and just enjoying spending time doing something good for me. This feeling, THIS is why I craft. Thank you for being here with me every day. Hugs!

Day 168: Zoe Artistry Thanks Card

I've been scrapping with Zoe all day, but I'm not quite ready to share yet, so I pulled up the new Mojo Monday sketch instead and whipped up this sweet little card with some Zoe scraps.
I stamped a White Daisy card front with the THANKS sentiment from the August Stamp of the Month in second generation Slate ink. I layered some of the Zoe Arrow print over the bottom of the card front. Then I stitched around the edges of the small White Daisy panel. I stamped the sentiment again on that stitched panel in 1st generation Slate ink and adhered it to the card front. I added two banners instead of one wide banner to add in a bit more of the Coral Shimmer trim I used in the floral Cricut embellishment.
I've been playing with paper piecing some of the Artistry die cuts with the new Zoe papers. For this one I pieces some of the flowers in the Sorbet Dot print, and all the leaves in the small Sweet Leaf Dot print. Then I used my water brush to add some touches of Canary yellow ink, but left the biggest roses on this cricut shape just the base white daisy. Them I backed the whole panel with Coral Shimmer Trim. I added some medium and bitty sparkles, and lightly filled the main sentiment image with a bit of clear Wink of Stella.

THANKS for stopping by to take a peek, Stampin' Friends!

Day 166: Artistry Blog Hop

Welcome to the CTMH Artistry Blog Hop. We've got thirty talented consultants sharing fabulous creations using the awesome new Artistry Cricut Cartridge. You may be arriving here from TERRIE'S BLOG. Let's hop!
For this hop I decided to play with the new sketch from Cardabilities. I love the layering on their sketches and I knew I could get the all the images I needed from the new Artistry cartridge. I stamped my background of Glacier cardstock with a sentiment from the August SOTM in Glacier ink. Then I added the circle from Doodled Designs in White Daisy ink. I added a strip of the new Coral shimmer trim, and stamped on some leaves from Lovely Birthday.
Then I started layering on the Artistry cuts. I grabbed some leaves from the swirly wreath banner on page 26, trimming off just the bits I needed. The flowers are the bottom layer of a two step cut from page 11. I colored them using Sorbet and Canary inks and my waterbrush, then formed the leaves as they dried. I gave the butterflies a similar waterbrush treatment. I trimmed the sentiments from the top half of the background on page 42 (which is where the butterflies reside too). I outlined the HAPPY portion in transparent shimmer gel pen for some extra sparkle.

One project doesn't even begin to show how awesome this new 700 image collection is - lucky you've got 29 more blogs in the hop, eh? Next up is BETH'S BLOG. Have fun with all the Artistry goodness!

Day 163: Zoe Thanks Card

One thing I love about the Zoe paper packet is how pretty but versatile all the coordinating patterns can be.
When I made this card, I used the tiny green dot as a background. I stitched all around the edges by hand with the stitching ruler. I added a bunch of banners using the different B&T patterns, which were all adorable and not scaled so large that small pieces wouldn't work. Then I hand-stitched across the top of the banners too.
I added a couple of the new butterfly shapes from the newly released Artistry cartridge, and stitched over the bodies. I inked the sentiment banner on the edges with black before stamping my sentiment from the August SOTM in Glacier and filling the sentiment with glitter gel pen.

I'm linking this card up to the Addicted to CAS Banners challenge. There's still ten days to play along - you can never have too many banners!

Day 162: Zoe Blog Hop

Welcome to the Zoe Blog Hop. We are celebrating the release of the adorable new Zoe paper packet! You may be arriving here from CINDY'S BLOG. Let's hop!
I used this card as my inspiration. I love the colors of the Zoe paper packet, especially mixed with the Slate gray. One of the first cuts I made with my new Artistry cartridge was this heart background. I backed the heart spaces with bits of the Zoe B&T papers. then I drew in the smiley faces with a journaling pen. I stamped a sentiment from the August SOTM, Framed, in the bottom right corner of the card.

Day 161: August SOTM Blog Hop

Welcome to the August SOTM Blog Hop! This month we have over 50 talented CTMH consultants sharing their creations using the August Stamp of the Month. Framed is a versatile set of 12 stamps that includes three frames with coordinating and adorably fonted sentiments for all occasions! You may be arriving here from JEAN'S BLOG.  Let's hop!
I usually use the SOTM images in lots of cards, but this month I was making a demo board, so I wanted to make a 12 x 12 layout. I loved this Sketchy Saturday sketch from Paper Issues, and it was perfect for the pictures I had in mind.  On Father's Day I took all the boys out for Blueberry pancakes, letting my sweet hubby sleep in restful silence. I cut the big Slate CS shape, and the title using the newly released CTMH Artistry Cartridge. You'll see a lot of Artistry from me this month - it's like Art Philosophy part 2, full of fresh designs and a sweet new font! The center band is embossed with the Dots folder and heavily sanded before I stitched over the top and around the edges of the layout repeatedly.
I stamped the background repeatedly with the Happy Father's Day sentiment using the colors from the new Zoe paper packet.  I filled in a few blank spaces with the heart from Doodled Designs. I added a label from the SOTM (cut with Artistry). I added a liberal dose of white enamel stars.

You can get your own August SOTM for as little as $5, but only in the month of August. Check with your CTMH Consultant or CLICK HERE for more details. Next up on the hop is KAMI'S BLOG. Have fun hopping!
