Color Throwdown Special Wishes Card

I was so honored to be chosen as a Color Throwdown Featured Stamper. This week I get to be a Guest Designer over at Color Throwdown, where they always have gorgeous color inspiration challenges. This week's challenge is pink, yellow and gray, and I've chosen Bashful, Canary, and Pebble inks for my card creation.
I'm still playing with the September special stamp set, so this is also a sneak peek post of a set that's not quite yet available. I stamped the Bashful CS background with the So HAPPY for You sentiment repeatedly in Bashful ink. Then I embossed another panel of Bashful CS with a big dot folder. I used the back/lighter side of the cardstock for these pieces. I matted my embossed panel onto some Canary Fundamentals patterned paper with a subtle stripe and tore the bottom edge.
I handcut a white tag that I outlined with a hand dotted outline. I double stamped the Special Thoughts & Wishes sentiment in Canary yellow and Pebble Gray. Then I stamped the sentiment again on scrap white cardstock so I could trim out the smaller words and accent them by sponging the edges with Bashful ink. I colored the Pebble stamped floral image with all three ink colors, and added a second layer of the center flowers popped up with foam tape for dimension. I topped my tag with a spray of pale pink organdy ribbon and a pink heart open center button. I also applied yellow Stickles to the button center, the yellow floral spray, and the flower center.
See how pretty the Color Throwdown Inspiration photos are? I hope you'll pop over this week and join the fun!

H2H Under My Umbrella Card

I was so honored to be chosen as a Heart 2 Heart Sweetheart in January. Now I get to play along with the challenges this month as a guest designer!
The first challenge this month is FOUR. For my card, based on the new sketch from RetroSketches, I used four kinds of patterned paper, four little hearts, four glittery triangles, and four applications of watercolor paints. I also stuck to the four colors from the new ColourQ color challenge
I did a light wash of blue over the background. Then I came back and splattered the background while it was still damp so the dots would spread a bit. I used my paints to color in the stamped images, using a paper towel to wipe paint off the boots and create a lighter color. Then I came back after the boots were dry and used very little water to add the orange dots on the boots with a fine brush. I'm linking this card up to the Just Us Girls Word Week inspiration: Raindrops

I hope you'll hop over to Heart 2 Heart to share your FOUR-spiration, too!

H2H You've Been Framed!

I'm honored to be helping out as a guest DT member over at Heart 2 Heart in December. The first challenge is called You've Been Framed. So I grabbed a frame from my stash and glitzed it up with some Sparkle and Shine papers, red shimmer tape, and some glittery flowers and snowflakes. I don't actually have my prints yet from our fabulous Apple Blossom Photography shoot, so this is just a printout from my computer until the prints arrive.
I used the centers from the snowflakes I cut for this project all stacked up to create my flower centers. The swirls are Bamboo CS covered in washi tape BEFORE I cut them on the cricut - so cool! I did a liberal sprinkling of sparkles over my frame and scrappy photo background. And yes, those are some of the sparkly Rudolph noses that I made for the craft fair in our photo. Adorable!

I hope you'll pop over to Heart 2 Heart to play along!

Today is a good day for a Color Dare

This week I'm so excited to be a guest designer over at the Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge blog! The colors for this week are Gypsy, Blush, and Sorbet. I added my current favorite neutral (Whisper) and used White Daisy for the card base and stamping the flowers.
I inked these new flowers from the new Happy Autumn stamp set (available August 1st) in Blush first, then rolled the edges in Sorbet. Then I detailed them with a bit of Stardust glitter glitz gel. I stamped the biggest flower twice and trimmed out a few sections of the center to pop up with foam tape for more dimension.
I used a sentiment from All the Details and backed it with more Washi Wonder stamped in Whisper Ink. I finished it off with some hand stitching in grey using the new Stitching Guide. Now that I'm used to using it I can't stop!

I used this lovely Sketchbook Saturday card sketch for my card. I hope you'll make a project with this fun color combo to link up over at the Color Dare too. If so, comment here so I can go have a peek...see you back here tomorrow for Friday Favorite Things!

Craftin Desert Divas Wet and Wild

I am posting today as a guest designer for the Craft It Up & Link It Up Linky Party hosted by Tara of Craftin Desert Divas! Every other Monday will mark the beginning of a new semi-weekly linky party and you could win fabulous prizes!!

This linky party theme is  Wet and Wild. The sponsors are Too Cute by Jessica, Robin's Nest, and me, Stamping Rules! The more you link up, the better chance you have to win.  Visit Craftin Desert Divas for all the rules and to play along.

Here is what I created for this linky party....
My Artbooking cartridge (available August 1st) just arrived. We had to return the preview cartridges to CTMH Corporate at Convention, so I've been dying to get my inky paws on the real thing. I used the Summer Sun Overlay on the T key and stitched all around the edge. I used the new Sarita papers accented with Aqua Dots and Stardust glitter glitz.
I just love the awesome titles that just cut out perfectly connected. This title is from key Y.
I cut the photo mat on the FAMILY key in Lagoon Cardstock. I cut a couple of borders from the same key, which I layered to embellish the wave at the bottom of the photo frame. I outlines all the wave layers with Stardust Glitter Glitz.

Hope you will Craft It Up and Link It Up!!!
