Practical Scrappers Scrapping Our Stash Blog Hop

Sometimes I don't know where the time flies. It's time again for our monthly Practical Scrappers Scrapping Our Stash Hop! You can find the complete list of scrappers HERE. You should be arriving here smiling from all the crafty goodness of CHRISTINE'S BLOG
Believe it or not, I actually put my hoop project on the back burner and did a layout this month. I have a set of six IKEA RIBBA Frames that I bought just before we moved from Portland. I made my hubby hang them in the entry way...where they have hung, empty and neglected all summer long. Now that I'm hitting the boxes with family photos, I decided it's time to fill those 10 x 10 frames. I used some of my hoarded and retired Timberline Woodgrain paper and a bunch of washi tapes to scrap my first frame. I want to put a heartfelt saying about family and home in each frame along with a picture of my sweet family.
So...the stamp image I used is actually a sneak peek at a stamp set that's not coming available until September - but I've had it since July! I inked the tree up with Memento Rich Cocoa Ink, swiping the pad down to take off most of the ink I had applied. Then I went all around the edges and all over the hearts with my favorite shimmery Stardust Gelly Roll Pen to make that tree something special behind my quote.
I used a bunch of different washi tapes from my stash. The red chevron, silver geometric, and slate polka dot are CTMH.  The others I've had in my stash a while, and I think I got them at Michaels. I should write the manufacturer inside the washi rolls so I can remember who makes them. I ran a double line of stitching all around the layout and across my washi tape Banner. I had to bust into a new package of my favorite Keyboard Alpha stickers, and I'm gonna cry a little when my stash finally runs out! I think I've got plenty to finish all six frames, though. I'm planning to bring the colors, woodgrain, and kraft letters through all six frames to make a nice display in my entry.

Next up if the fabulous craftiness of Bobbi at Vintage Muse Designs. Have fun!

Ivy Lane Monthly Memories Pages

I'm hard at work on my shiny new laptop rebuilding my templates from scratch for our page instruction kits after the my poor overworked laptop went kablooey...twice already this year. These 6 pages in this kit I'm working on for Ivy Lane layer lots of awesome Chipboard, acrylic flowers from the Pink Base and Bling Jewels (not just for jewelry making!), and the new Purple glitter gems. Come back tomorrow to check out the Skylark pages...and club ladies, you'll have these instructions in hand by this weekend, as your kits have already been ordered! I {heart} you guys for being so patient with me while we transition through my move. See you soon!

Picture My Life

I've been flirting with a few lines of products made for Project life type scrapping, so these pics of the upcoming Picture My Life line from Close To My Heart make me so happy!
Besides scrapbooking, I can see some totally adorable cards and mini album projects coming on...
A bit of glitter, some sparkles...PML you have my heart!
If I could have a super power it would be....teleportation, so I could put myself into the CTMH warehouse and gawk at the new goodies right now! Or reading minds so I could sneak a peek into Kristine or Monica's brain and find out what's coming. I know...impatience may be my middle name.
The Joy is in the journey....or in the scrapbooking of the journey?
This line is definitely Be-YOU-tiful...I feel like I'm trapped in an old Mervyn's commercial...OpenOpenOpen!! Are you as excited to get your inky paws on these goodies as I am?

Found: Cute Non-stick Fiskars Scissors!

I was so happy when I strolled into Freddy's today - my beloved non-stick Fiskars kid scissors are back, on SALE for $3.49 a pair, and now covered with adorable prints!

Why do I want a pair of kid scissors in my scrap kit you ask? These scissors are a must have if you like to trim apart anything sticky! Splitting glue dots or 3-D foam tape, trimming mats or ribbons flush to the page, cutting stickers apart to use only a piece... Don't get me wrong - there's nothing that my CTMH microtip scissors can cut...but it's so nice to keep them clean, shiny and sharp and let the non-stick kiddie scissors do the dirty work. My old non-stick scissors are practically worn out, so I got three pairs in this super cute polka dot. 3-D foam tape, beware!
