Hello,
This post is going to be longer than unlikely my usual post because there are more step-by-step photos for One Sheet Wonder (OSW) Template and Sketch Measurements. I hope you will take time to read through as I am sure you would appreciate it at the end.
Now I DO like to work on sketch measurements every time when I create my cards by applying the One Sheet Wonder Template. It's not only fun but also very productive. Since I have been making cards for our Heroes and donating them to
Operation Write Home, it has been always a challenge to be creative and productive at the same time. I hope what I share would help every one to meet these expectations with less hassle. Most of all, you will not end up with scraps that we all used to have and I want to keep it as my reference to check back any time.
Here are steps how I started. You are welcome to take it and share it with others to make more cards for our Heroes.

- Step 2 - Cutting 3-1/2"x5", 3-1/2"x5", 3-1/2"x5" and 1-1/2"x5"
- Step 3 - Cutting sizes as shown on the template to create various designs. Layer them on the 4"x5-1/4" sized matching colored cardstock.
I played the Paper Players sketch challenge last week and
HERE is my post. I worked on the measurements for this sketch and here you go.
I used two sheets of 12"x12" double-sided designer series paper (dsp) so I could have four different dsp pieces. As you can see I started cutting by the step1 and the step 2 of the OSW template except the lengthwise 1/4" shorter, i.e., 3-1/2"x4-3/4" so that it will fit in the layering cardstock sized 4"x5-1/4". Because there is a space in between dsp pieces.
- Step 2 - Cutting 3-1/2"x4-3/4", 3-1/2"x4-3/4", 3-1/2"x4-3/4"and 1-1/2"x5"
This is the step 3 of OSW template for this particular sketch challenge and layered on the matching colored cardstock. All what you need to do is adding the sentiment of your choice.
Also I played
Freshly Made Sketches #88 and here is my card to enter. I love how it turned out. I used one sheet of 12"x12" double-sided dsp and it was easier to coordinate dsp pieces by cutting the measurements that I came up with. You can make 6 identical cards and 3 in different layouts.
This is
Freshly Made Sketches #88 and my measurements next to it.
- Step 1 - Cutting 5"x12", 5"x12" and 2"x12"
- Step 2 - Cutting 3-1/2"x5", 3-1/2"x5", 3-1/2"x5"and 1-1/2"x5"
- Step 3 - Cutting 2-1/4"x5", 3/4"x5" and 1/2"x5".
- Step 4 to 6 - Layering on the 4"x5-1/4" sized matching colored cardstock.
Focal image measurements.
Whew... thanks for your patience with me. I need a big hug, too.
Thanks for stopping by!
