Tom Ford, London

As one would expect, Tom Ford has delivered another very slick scheme at his Bond street store.  We did raise a smile slightly as the flooring in this scheme has a mirrored finish; possibly every females nightmare, apart from the glass floor and, well, a series of other nightmares which we don't care to mention.  Fortunately mannequins are not anatomically correct and so there is no real need for them to wear underwear however either the team wanted to raise a cheeky smile or maybe no-one even noticed that any passersby can get a good old eye full up right these female mannequins dresses.  Needless to say that whether cheeky or not it doesn't quite titillate our senses but one never knows when the latter-day Mary Whitehouse or any other person with anti liberalism views might be passing by and of course who has greater clout than us.  #Goodjobitsnotthemiddleeast  #thankgoodnessforlondon #cheeky #gigglinglikenaughtyschoolboys #whocaresanyway #willanyonenotice #anypublicityisgoodpublicityweguess

This is possibly not the most extraordinary scheme we've seen at this brand although we do love these rather ghostly photo negative-like perspex boxes which form the backdrop to the windows.  You can view the overall scheme in our video below although the details here are probably the most interesting element.  Check out our video through the link here too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRVX4-qf6Cg

This scheme possibly falls into the Colour Codes trend?.  The origins of colour in our world of manufactured pigment appears to have been forgotten as Colour is now mechanically made where once it had quite an aura and power to bring ancient stories alive.  Colour also has a wonderful provenance which was originally produced through laborious processes using natural materials and traditional methods and here at Tom Ford this fantastic powdered pigment encased in its Plexiglas case beams from their Sloane street store here in the centre of it all.

It takes an enormous amount of effort to make something look this simple.  Focusing on this Uber premium product the team here have created a fantastic Art-like installation which just screams luxury in a whisper.  Simply a beautiful presentation from this brand.  The team at Tom Ford (as well as the man himself) really do understand what this level of retail (which feels slightly, albeit unintentionally tarnishing saying it in this context) is all about.

We often pass by here and of course we adore this brand by the fabulous Tom Ford.  Every single detail is considered to the microscopic millimetre and it shows.  Large format graphics reflect the product in this instance within their window scheme.  OK, not very revolutionary or even actually particularly innovative but it just somehow looks so damned good.

This is only the second time that we've included the Tom Ford London windows.  The schemes here dont change very much, hence the lack of inclusion.  However when they do change what they do, the schemes are of course super slick, gentle and yet highlight the product perfectly.  Here we have their promotion (below) of their Alix bag.  The product naturally is incredible and here it is placed in between two illuminated radiating forms.  Beautifully simple.

We haven't seen this store since it opened a short while ago and have actually only seen one other from this brand during our visits to New York.  Anyway, while the visual merchandising is not the most exciting ever that we have seen, it is of course superb quality and naturally the focus here is on the product itself which knowing the Tom Ford brand is the best quality your hard earned cash can buy.
