Ninja Polish Gemstone Dreams Collection - Fire Opal Dreams

Press Sample
*This product is Cruelty Free

I'm back with another polish from the Ninja Polish Gemstone Dreams Collection! This time I have Fire Opal Dreams.

To see Andesine Dreams, Obsidian Dreams and Amethyst Dreams, click here. To see Rubellite Dreams and Tanzanite Dreams click here.

Fire Opal Dreams is a rich, rusty orange shimmer. Perfect application as with all of the Gemstone Dreams polishes so far. No issues to report - I used 3 light coats of this one with one coat of Poshe top coat, although I am sure 2 regular coats would suffice.

Continued after the jump...

Nails Inc. New Burlington Place - Swatches and Review

As usual, I always seem to get back to Nails Inc. I'm obsessed with them lately!  The one I have for you today is SO gorgeous and so complex! New Burlington Place. The name comes from the area in Mayfair, City of Westminster, London and I wish I was there right NOW!

New Burlington Place is from Nails Inc.'s Midas Collection and I'm going to call it a duochrome, but I'm not entirely sure it's not a multichrome. It applied perfectly, like a creme! But it's full of glass flecks! It is a coppery/gold/autumn orange/rich berry red color. Well I'll just let you see for yourself. Two coats of color and one coat of Poshe top coat.

Well, didn't I TELL you?  Isn't it amazing?  Have you tried this one yet?  What's your favorite Nails Inc. polish? It would be perfect for Autumn. It also reminds me of MAC Bad Fairy, but I've only ever seen that in the bottle and in photos on the internet, so I could be way off.

Nails Inc. polishes are available in limited colors in the US at Sephora.com and a few other e-tailers. Unfortunately, the NailsInc.com site in the UK doesn't ship to the US...yet. Thankfully I have a few friends in the UK. =)

Rainbow Honey Hoof Wrassle - Swatches and Review

Tonight I have for you, from Rainbow Honey's Equestria Collection, Hoof Wrassle!

Hoof Wrassle is described by Dee as follows:  a shimmery copper base...studded with gold and copper, orange hex's and squares, and a sprinkling of iridescent and holographic glitters.

It's a rusty, coppery, orange glitter-packed opaque wonder. This one was the thickest of the collection for me. I had to be careful to try and get thin coats so it didn't get gloopy on me. Since I know how it behaves, I probably won't add any thinner, but some of you might want to add a drop or two. I did the same layering technique as in my other reviews - a color (Zoya Kaufda) underneath on all but the ring finger. That one I left bare so you could see how the polish looks without "underwear."  As you will see from the photos, though, it's hard to tell since it's so opaque. Two coats on all fingers and one coat of Poshe to finish it up.

Revlon Saucy and Revlon Fearless Swatches

The posts have been a little scarce lately - been fighting headaches and such. Must be headache season!

But today I have 2 of the newer releases from Revlon. Saucy and Fearless. They're in the same collection as Whimsical, Naughty, Scandalous...

First up is Saucy. It's a red-orange (or is it an orange-red?) with red and copper shimmer (or it is micro-glitter?) I can't tell if it's really that hard to describe or if it's just my headache interrupting brain function!

Judge for yourself. These are pretty color-accurate, despite the color of my hands.

And finally, Revlon Fearless. Again it's a little difficult to describe. When you hold it up to a true red, it looks like a light cherry color that leans toward orange, but next to a true orange, it looks redder. I'd say it is a nice medium to light orange-based red creme. Again, you can judge from the pics. The first one is the truest color representation.

The application was great on both polishes and they're shown with two coats of color and a top coat. Saucy could probably be a one-coater.

My Thanksgiving Mani

You guys pretty much know I'm kind of tame (NO, I did NOT say lame!) and don't typically do nail art or glitter. And this will be no exception. But I did want to do a little something.

So I'm wearing Revlon Ignite, which is a shimmery, rusty orange that just appeared at my local Walgreen. Now, "just appeared" could mean that it's brand spanking new, or it could mean that they found an old box in the back. Walgreen stores in Po-Dunk operate a little differently than most. =) It was in a new display right next to the remnants of the collection that featured Mistletoe, though.

The application was actually fantastic and took only one medium coat!

First, Revlon Ignite on its own...

See how it shimmers???

Then I layered on Barielle Elle's Spell, which is a great multi-chrome flaky that flashes green, red, gold and orange. Everything's better with Barielle Elle's Spell.

A close-up showing the flaky goodness...

In the sunlight, it's STUNNING, but the sun's not cooperating right now.

And indoors, it's pretty inocuous, but still gorgeous.

I've been really impressed lately with the "drug store" polishes. Revlon and L'Oreal have both stepped up their games in the nail polish arena tremendously, as has Nicole by OPI. Either that or I'm just lucking out with the ones I'm choosing.
