Details, Details, Details

Of the ATC box.

So you can see here that the front is very raised. How did I do it?

Underneath that black cardstock there is block of white Styrofoam. Then I use a band of card around it.

You can see here that the black card is larger than the standard ATC size. The clip is not attached in any way so it is rather easy to change the ATC's.

And here, on the opposite side, the little pockets can hold up to ten ATC in each one.

ATC holder

I dont think I ever shared this ATC box that I made last year. It is rather large and deep so it can store quite a few of ATC's in one side and display a few on the other side.

The box is from Kars, a distributor, so you should be able to find it in shops across the UK. It is a 12 compartment tea box, the compartment come off easily, but having them means that you can do a lot with them as well.
I used a My Little Yellow Bicycle papers for this project.

ATC's

Making folders or ways to store ATC's is one of my favorite things -yes, I know, I have so many favorites!
This folder was published originally in Quick & Crafty, something that it saddens me as I had some bad news about it.
Most of the products are from Prima and Basic Grey.

ATC's part 2

Between yesterday and today I have received loads of goodies, and when I say loads I mean LOADS.
The best goodies are actually part of a swapp, yes my first big scale ATC swapp (I have swapp one before!). A very nice lady from Chester (I didn't ask permission to name her) offer to do a swapp and today I received a box that contain the best wrapped ever ATC's. Just Beautiful.
The other bits were orders from two different companies I work for, some EK Success stuff, 7 Gypsies stamps...
But I couldn't play with them today. See, it's really not fair. All week waiting for the arrival of something fun and crafty and when I receive them I am busy. I can't complain really because today I was busy because I had to visit The Art of Craft. If you are lucky enough to live near Hampshire you should visit. It is a true Aladdin's Cave for Cardmakers. I had to go because they are having this big Crafting weekend on the 21st and 22nd of July and I am one of the demonstrators. Really excited!
All right, now I need to play! (No, not really, I have to work and prepare next demo, this Saturday at The Glitter Pot (West Sussex)

ATC

Artist Trading Cards. Right. I don't really get them. I mean, you spend a considerable amount of time, product and imagination making a series of beautiful cards just to give them away, actually to swap them away.
The problem is that yes, when you make a card you are suppose to send it to someone who is expecting it because of a birthday, Christmas... you name the occasion {although more likely in my case I just keep it for far too many reasons to list them here}.
However with ATC is just plain and simple swapping. And that, my friend, it is something that I don't get as I never got collecting other things. When I think about starting an ATC collection I think that I would love to have this miniature artwork from some people and I would't mind to swap it with some of mine, but going as far as to join clubs where the only thing that you get is a very cheap ugly thing time and time over? It is just not for me. Or so I thought.
Just to prove myself wrong, I made a series of 12 and I really enjoyed making them, which means that provably now I'll be making more ATCs.The original ones were going to go in an article but we decided to do some cards instead. So, now I have 11 to swap, any takers?
