It's Ceal, here. Today I am channeling my inner Jaycee Gasper with an Altenew die set and ink blending.
I watched a live with Jennifer and Jaycee using this die set and I just had to order it, it's so beautiful. I went back and watched the replay and crafted along with them. Jaycee has a way with ink blending like no other. I love how you get the colors with ink blending rather than colored cardstock. I am a fan!
To make this card, I started with a white to folding A2 card base and a piece of white cardstock for the die cuts. I placed a Sticky Mat in the Original Misti to hold the die cut pieces as I ink blended. I didn't have the ink colors that they used on the live so I substituted distress inks. After I got all the pieces ink blended, I cut the outline pieces of the flowers and leaves out of goil foil paper.
The outlines pieces to the flowers are very thin and delicate but they were so easy to add with the Precision Glue Press
To finish the card, I added the thanks sentiment cut twice out of white for dimension and glued it to a gold backer.
Hello Friends,
I am excited to be back this month to share a fun card with you featuring some beautiful products.
Hello Friends,
It's Wendy. While I am sure there are good uses for clear blocks, I have a hard time using them since getting a MISTI. The Mini MISTI is my go to for quick and easy stamping.
This cute stamp set from Altenew is a layering stamp set and using the MISTI for stamping all the bits and pieces is perfect.
Hi everyone!
Ilina here. Today I am sharing easy to mass produce super colorful cards. All you need is your layering set, sentiment set, embossing folder, your MISTI and colorful inks.
For my cards I combined products from several companies.
To make the cards I started by die cutting bunch of bird die cuts from white card stock. I used the Bird of the Woods stamp and die set from Altenew. Next with help of my MISTI and the negative space of one of the die cuts I stamped all the layers on the birds starting with the black outline.
Once the birds were done I set them aside. For each stamped bird I cut 3 additional die cuts from white card stock that I didn't stamp on. I use these for stacking.
Next I stamped bunch of sentiments from the Perfect Sentiments stamp set from Pinkfresh Studio. Die cut them, along with just plain die cuts (for stacking) and set them aside.
Then using different embossing folders I embossed white panels and cut them to 4" x 5 1/4".
Adhered the stacked birds and stacked sentiment, then adhered the whole panel to a white note card. I again stacked card stock on the back to add more sturdiness and dimension. But you can use craft foam or foam tape.

Hi,
This is Susan up on the blog for Team Tuesdays. First things first, some important business. I have the winner of the My Sweet Petunia Gift Certificate from the My Sweet Petunia and Pink Fresh Studios Co-hop.
Vickie of msinkspot, you have won the My Sweet Petunia gift certificate. Please contact MSP at hello@mysweetpetunia.com. Your comment from Ilina Crouse's post was the winner.
Love all your cards but those florals are fantastic!
Now onto my card, I needed to make some thank you cards for my sister to send out. First thing I did was to get out my new MISTI - so love all the new features - and I repeatedly stamped the larger floral image from the ever classic and elegant Altenew Beautiful Day around the card front. For paper I used Neenah Solar White 80 lb card stock and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also stamped the leaves and the smaller cluster of flowers. I had to mask my main images and I used full stick Post-It Notes and my regular sized MISTI for all of this stamping as well. I was going to color these images in with my go-to Copic Sketch Markers. However, I decided to pull out my Prismacolor Colored Pencils. Sadly, I did not write the colors down and I apologize for that. After coloring the main image, I splashed on some Sheer Shimmer Mist in Gold. I then trimmed the panel down to 4"x5.25" and mounted this with 3M Foam Tape onto a side folding notecard.
For the sentiment, I used thank you from WPlus9 Designs The Little Things. I love this set and its smaller sentiments. I used Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock. I lined up the stamp in my MISTI along with the paper. I stamped this sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Using the accompanying die and my Gemini Junior Die Cutting machine and die the sentiment out. I popped the sentiment up on 3M Foam tape and adhered it to the focal image panel.
I really had a lot of fun and some relaxation using these two classic and timeless stamp sets. Pull out something you haven't used in awhile and create backgrounds. I often stamp these out ahead of time and color them in later. I leave the card black until I know what type of card I need. This keeps me ready for anything that comes my way or anything my dear sister would like.
Thanks for stopping by;
Susan
