Team Tuesday with Ceal

(Our team uses affiliate links when possible)
Hey friends!
It's Ceal, here. Today I am sharing a card made using a stamp and stencil by Altenew. Not only is the Misti a great tool to use for stamping but the sticky mats are a necessity for stenciling.
To make this card, I started with a white top folding A2 card base and a couple of white panels. One I cut down and used with a 3D embossing folding and the other for stamping the image.
I placed the panel in the Original MISTI and stamped the floral image, next I placed the stickmat in the Original MISTI and used it to hold the panel while I ink blended the colors using the coordinating stencils.
Next I cut out the image using the coordinating  die and then popped it up on the embossed panel. To finish the card, I added a sentiment from The Greetery.

Team Tuesday with Altenew

(Our team uses affiliate links at no cost to you)

Hello crafty friends!

It's Ceal, here. Today I am channeling my inner Jaycee Gasper with an Altenew die set and ink blending.

I watched a live with Jennifer and Jaycee using this die set and I just had to order it, it's so beautiful. I went back and watched the replay and crafted along with them. Jaycee has a way with ink blending like no other. I love how you get the colors with ink blending rather than colored cardstock. I am a fan!

To make this card, I started with a white to folding A2 card base and a piece of white cardstock for the die cuts. I placed a Sticky Mat in the Original Misti to hold the die cut pieces as I ink blended. I didn't have the ink colors that they used on the live so I substituted distress inks. After I got all the pieces ink blended, I cut the outline pieces of the flowers and leaves out of goil foil paper.

The outlines pieces to the flowers are very thin and delicate but they were so easy to add with the Precision Glue Press

To finish the card, I added the thanks sentiment cut twice out of white for dimension and glued it to a gold backer.

Team Tuesday with Altenew

Hello and welcome to Team Tuesday.  It's Ceal, here.
Today I am sharing a card using some Altenew products.
When I think Altenew I automatically think Misti, matter of fact Altenew was the stamp company that made me "need" a Misti. I was in love with their floral layering stamp but for the life of me even though they were clear I could not line them up properly.
My card today doesn't use any layer stamps but it uses a layering stencil and they are so much easier to use with a Sticky Mat.
I started with a top folding white card base and a white panel cut to the same size.
I placed the panel down on the sticky mat and then placed the stencil over it. The stickiness of the mat holds down both the cardstock and the stencil and with it being a layering stencil I used the grids to help me line it up, so easy.

Christmas Greeting with Karen ReƔtegui

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing this set of Christmas Cards that you can easily mass produce. The products I used are the following: Joyeux Noel Stamp and Dies, Lots of Blossoms Stencil, Life Changing Blender Brushes, SSS Blush Positively Saturated Ink, Altenew Forest Glades, Gold WOW! Embossing Powder and my Mini MISTI.

Let's begin! I started by placing the Lots of Blossoms Stencil on top of an A2 panel and I applied the SSS Blush Positively Saturated Ink and Altenew Forest Glades using the Life Changing Blender Brushes.

Then, I trimmed down this panel a little bit and adhered it to a card base using glue. I changed a bit the position of each background to make each card slightly different.

Next, I placed a piece of white cardstock inside my Mini MISTI and I stamped the sentiment from Joyeux Noel Stamp using Versamark Emboss Ink, then I added Gold WOW! Embossing Powder and heat embossed it. Finally, I die cut the sentiment using the coordinating die and I placed it on top of my background. I placed the sentiment on each card as a final touch making this a very simple card design.

I hope you like this set of cards and thank you so much for stopping by. Below you will find all supplies used on these cards.

Have a wonderful day.
Your friend, Karen

Slimline Card with Altenew Build a Flower Poppy

Hey stamping friends, Sandi here and welcome back to the Misti Blog.

Today I'm using my Misti to do some layered stamping and to create a Slimline Card with Altenew Build a Flower Poppy stamp and die set.

The Misti is the perfect tool for the Layered Stamping.  With the slimline cards additional real estate I was also able to use the Misti Stamping Platform to stamp all three sentiments at the same time.  It also made quick work of stamping those adorable background images too.  Check out the video below for the details.

I used the Pinkfresh Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangle Dies to create the layers for my Slimline card.  There are four dies in this set, two with stitched edges, and two slightly larger dies to create the mats as well.

Here's today's video, you can watch it here, or over on my YouTube Channel in HD.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the Slimline Card.  Below I have listed the products used in today's video with affiliate links where available.

Have a great rest of your day

Thankful Card with Karen Reategui

Hello friends! Today I’m sharing this card over My Sweet Petunia Blog. I’m using my Original and Mini MISTI along with Pinkfresh Studios stamp and dies.

Let’s start! With the help of my MISTI I stamped the Celebrate Us Stamp Set using Pale Mauve, Amethyst and Parrot inks from Altenew. The outline part was heat embossed with WOW! Metallic Gold Embossing Powder and then I die cut both flowers using the matching dies. You can see the process in the picture below. I simply rotated my cardstock inside the MISTI to stamp both images.

Next, I die cut twice the Leafy Branch Die from Pinkfresh Studio out of gold foil mirror cardstock.

I also die cut the two larger pieces of the Ornate Banner Dies out of white cardstock. I left the larger piece white and on top of the smaller I white heat embossed the outline of the flowers again and then applied Fresh Lemon ink from Altenew using a Life Changing Blender Brush.

Then, I embossed a teal cardstock using the Pretty Frames 2 from Pinkfresh Studios. I adhered a white folded note card at the back using glue.

On top I placed the white frame from the Ornate Banner using foam tape and the part with the heat emboss resist technique was added inside.

Finally, I arranged the flowers and leaves and added a thankful sentiment that was die cut three times out of white cardstock and glued one on top of each one to create a die cut stacked and get more dimension. Some jewels were added also and my card was finished.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Karen

Fabulous Card with Karen Reategui

Hello friends! Today I made this card for My Sweet Petunia Blog and I’m using a Build a Flower Anemone Stamp Set and Script Word 2 from Altenew.

Let’s start! I gold heat embossed the outline layer of these flower and leaves using WOW! Metallic Gold Embossing Powder. In order to stamp the 3 images at once I used my MISTI just like you will see in the next picture, this way you gain time and in case you didn’t have a good impression, you can always stamp again with your MISTI.

Once all my images were stamped I gold heat embossed them. By the way, I’m using a colored cardstock Lavender Fields from Altenew for this card. Next, I stamped the detailed part for the flower and leaves using Altenew Midnight Violet ink. I achieved this with the help of my MISTI, positioning and stamping all 3 stamps at once until I completed my panel. See picture below.

After stamping all the detailed images, I die cut the Fabulous word die out of gold cardstock and to get more dimension I die cut four more times the same die but this time using Deep Iris cardstock.

I added a white note card at the back of my background and then I adhered as well the stack of die cuts that I glued one on top of each other.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment using my MISTI with gold embossing powder over Midnight Violet cardstock and placed it on top of the fabulous word. As the final touch I added a few Antique Gold sequins and my card is finished. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Ink Smooshing with the MISTI door

Hello friends! Today I’m up at MISTI blog sharing my first post with this fun and easy card using the ink smooshing technique but instead of using an acrylic block I will use the MISTI door to apply the Distress Oxide inks.

Let’s begin! I placed a watercolor panel inside the MISTI and I smooshed Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink onto the MISTI door, sprayed water and then I closed the door to apply the color. I repeated these steps using Broken China and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide inks and let my panel dry. For a final touch I added splashes of gold metallic ink from Hero Arts.

Once the panel was dry I placed on top the Mega Hello Die from Altenew and run it through my die cutting machine. I saved the Hello die cut for another project and I adhered a white card base at the back of my negative panel. Additionally, I die cut one more Hello die cut out of white cardstock and heat embossed it with WOW! Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Glitter.

I glued the heat embossed Hello to the background and also stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto white cardstock using WOW! Metallic Gold Embossing Powder. I added my sentiment on top of the card, a few gold sequins and my card was finished. I really hope you like this card and try this technique using your MISTI. Have an amazing day!
