We're delighted to announce our partnership with DPD UK and Evri to launch a new parcel delivery service.  We are fundamentally transforming Post Office by introducing new mails carriers over the counter. For the first time in our 360-year history, we will be working with multiple delivery carriers beyond Royal Mail to give customers more choice and convenience when buying postage in-branch. Last year, 76% of the nation sent parcels and almost half want more delivery options at one location. Last week we responded to the global IT outage with some quick and effective marketing, reminding people that our branches were still open and serving customers right across the country. ‘We’re down … the road’ highlighted the importance of face-to-face services and the fantastic work of our Postmasters serving every community. It's also a reminder of how important cash is, our branches saw an increase in cash withdrawals vs the previous week and the last few days have seen the latest stats showing 1.5million people mainly using cash for day-to-day spending, at a four-year high. #Banking #Community #Retail

The first fully electric Post Office branded vehicle has been successfully trialled in the UK. 🚐 Pembroke Postmaster Mark Wilson and his team operate a Post Office on wheels serving 11 communities in rural Pembrokeshire, swapping his previous diesel vehicle for an electric one. A mobile Post Office service is a tried and tested way of maintaining Post Office services to smaller communities, especially in rural areas. It can provide the same range of Post Office services as those at a high street branch. We're excited to announce that next month another electric Mobile Post Office will be introduced in East Anglia, followed by a third vehicle to fully test the suitability of these vehicles for rural locations and the cost compared to traditional vehicles. #Electric #Sustainable #Community

We’re delighted to have been a part of the rollout of the new-look King Charles III banknotes this week! Postmasters and Branch Managers at selected Post Offices have been helping many happy customers get their hands on the new-look notes. Over a quarter of Brits wanted to get hold of the new-look currency as part of this historic moment - highlighting just how important cash still is to society. Millions of people come to Post Offices every day to withdraw or deposit cash but this week has been particularly special for branches, like Broadway Post Office near Buckingham Palace, whose Branch Manager said how lucky she felt to be one of the first Post Offices to provide customers with the new banknotes. Exciting news! We’ve introduced a mobile Post Office to the Crewkerne area. 🚐 Since the closure of services in the area, we have continued to work to identify a solution to restore Post Office services to our customers in the local area. This new mobile Post Office is a tried and tested way of maintaining services to smaller communities and now operates in Odcombe, Tintinhull, Chilthorne Domer, Melbury Osmond; North Cadbury, Buckhorn Weston, Charlton Horethorne, and Corton Denham. With many people using cash to help them save we’ve teamed up with Money-saving expert Mrs Mummypenny and her trusted local Postmaster, Mohsin Miah, to share expert advice on some of the latest ways to help people save money using cash hacks for managing our spending 💰. From cash stuffing to the 1p saving challenge, there are lots of hacks to transform our financial habits. Our research reveals the power of cash hacks, with half of consumers saying they were able to improve their spending management with them while 37% said they’ve been able to save like never before by using cash. Local Post Office branches play a huge role in providing individuals and businesses easy access to everyday banking needs so they can withdraw or deposit cash down to the penny, and Postmasters are a vital pillar in the community in helping customers to fulfil their cash needs.
