Dairy Queen coming to The Gate Mall
It looks like a little booth in front of McDonald's, now I don't have to travel to Marina or Avenues Mall for my Blizzard.

Magnolia Bakery
My sister finally convinced my to try the banana pudding from Magnolia Bakery. She has been raving about their hummingbird cake as well but the prices stop me dead in my tracks. Yes, it's a cute place to visit, I love the colors of the store. The banana pudding was really good and it went quick. They have a large variety of cakes, cupcakes and specialty items.
The pint of banana pudding was 2.450 KD and a 3 layer hummingbird cake is 17 KD. I might have to start off trying a cupcake first before investing that much into a cake. There are three locations, 360 Mall, Al Hamra and Levels in Mahboula, you can also find them on Talabat.com

Sugar Revolution
'An American and two Kuwaiti revolutionizing your sweet tooth one bite at a time' is the quote for the ladies of @sugarrevolutionq8 (96001535) now located in Shuhada Co Op. Their grand opening was today so we decided to stop by and check it out, everyone needs a sno ball on a hot day!
So many flavors to choose from
Sno-Balltender
I had blackberry, sour apple and pink lemonade
My sister tried out PiƱa colada and condensed milk, something that is famous in Louisiana according to the ladies
Mini cakes, this one is vanilla
This one is chocolate, both with meringue toppings
Two of the founding ladies, Nicole and Farah. The cake business was from home and their new idea of sno balls was brought to Shuhada, future plans include their own sno ball delivery truck....stay tuned!
I really love seeing women owned businesses in Kuwait, let's show our support by stopping by their shop.

Dairy Queen Kuwait Now Open
Dairy Queen is now open in Marina Mall! You can stop by and get a free blizzard with their promotion, they opened on Monday. The Avenues location will open in about two weeks, an ice cream only location in Gate Mall in September and 20 locations within five years with a location in Sea City.
Chili fries were goo but a little on the salty side
We ordered a Brownie Temptation and a Strawberry Cheesecake, the brownie one was loaded with chocolate flakes, pieces of brownie and pecans. The cheesecake one was light and tasted like the name so it depends on your taste.
If you turn your blizzard upside down and it falls out you get it for free. You can find more information on their IG @dairyqueenkuwait

Food
I bought a couple small pints of the new flavors that has everyone going crazy. The 'Mistika' flavor not so much, it tasted exactly how the gum smells. I did like the ,Muhallabia, flavor and the pistachio topping.

IHOP Jabriya
We had a late night craving for pancakes and headed to IHOP in the Jabriya complex. First thing I noticed was the new menu and we all know new menu means increased prices. The worst change was to the Big steak omelette, as of two weeks ago it no longer comes with a side of pancakes, nope, now it comes with toast. I don't understand why Al Shaya brings American restaurants and then starts changing the recipes and sides. They are still serving pancakes in the USA so why stop it here and serve toast?
If it's not broke don't fix it, leave things alone!
These are cinnamon bun pancakes! So good!
Cheesecake pancakes
The manager said a lot of people complained about the changes, I hope they go back to the original plan, who goes to a pancake joint and orders toast??

Kenny Rogers Kuwait- Abandoned
Curiosity always gets the best of me and for years I've wondered what it looked like inside the restaurant. I had some help in getting a sneak peak inside and I was not disappointed. I expected it to be ruined like Hard Rock Cafe was but it looked like it closed at the end of the shift and that was it. It looks like there was a train that ran around the place at one time.
I ate at KRR in California a long time ago and remember the food was pretty good with roasted chicken and plenty of sides. According to their Wiki page the company was bought by Malaysia-based Berjaya Group in 1996, filed for bankruptcy in 1998 and was bought by Nathan's Famous, Inc. for U.S.$1.25 million and it's still open in Malaysia.
I love the this themeOG cash registers
Old Pepsi design, who remembers this?
Roaster looking good as new
