Crashed cars-Kuwait Collection

About a month ago on IG there was a video of some cars on fire outside a home in Mangaf I believe, well here is what was left of them after the fire was put out. 

I always submit my pictures of crashed cars to www.wreckedexotics.com and most of the time they will publish them, it's an awesome site to see idiots crashing their expensive cars.

Everyday there are nice cars being crashed in this country, unfortunately most will still have payments unless they have the gold insurance package.

Lamborghini Aventador in Kuwait......Sweet!!!!!!!

I saw this on my home from work yesterday and of course I had to hit my brakes and move into the middle lane to get a closer look and take a picture while trying to steer, it is after all one of my favorite cars. The first one is blurry but I managed to get a little closer.

It has the matte black paint, I wonder what it looks like all lit up at night, I'm in love!!!!! I can't decide which is my favorite, Lamborghini or Phantom. Most females are into fufu Hermes or LV bags but I am into sweet rides. I had a 69 Impala with glass packs in the states and used to drop them on guys, oh the memories.

My only question is....why is it on the back of a tow truck? Is it being repossessed?

Car crashes in Kuwait

Almost every day I come across some kind of crash. Unfortunately this Camaro belongs to a friend of mine and he got smashed up while reversing out of a parking spot in the grocery store parking lot. A female driving a sunny raced down the parking area and didn't see him pulling out, smashed into him and kept going with his fender stuck in her grill. He managed to get her tag number and went to the police department to file a report.

 

The lovely police officer told him it was his fault and ticketed him and the female was not held liable for any damage which will cost more than 300KD to fix. So, to all of you who reverse out of a parking spot make sure you be very careful as it will be your fault if someone hits you. Sincerely, Kuwait police.

The moral of the post is be careful when reversing and street sweepers pack a mean punch.

Another KRH bus Accident

It has happened again, another bus accident involving our FN employees and unfortunately four guys lost their life on Wednesday, two from our employees and two driving the water tanker. Unconfirmed reports say there was a police check point set up in the middle of the highway yesterday morning and the loaded water tanker couldn't stop in time ramming the back of the bus and hitting a Camry driven by an American guy. The workers were sitting outside of the bus and the Kuwaiti police told them to get back on the bus and go to work.

 

They came on base and when they got to their work stations they collapsed in pain so someone from our section had to take them to the hospital. The cleaning guy for our BLK has a broken leg and another had broken ribs and internal bleeding. I don't understand the reasoning behind setting up check points on the highway when they know people are speeding. I remember once there was a check point on the fifth ring bridge coming from highway 40.

 

As we rounded the bridge we had to come to a complete stop and avoid hitting the other vehicles, if someone were to crash they would have flown off of the bridge. So much for following safety rules.

It is an awful tragedy and I pray for their families.

Weekend Accidents

It has been a long time since I had to venture out to the city of Salmiya. I had to go to Mowasat for some check-ups and I counted around 6 accidents during the time I was out of my area. 

I don't know which of these accidents happened first but I think the cars off to the side were first and maybe the above accident happened because people were paying attention to the wrecked cars.

This is one of the many accidents in Kuwait which occured on the 30 highway going to Arifjan. The street sweeper took the hit pretty good but I think it was being pulled by a huge truck and that's what the white truck hit and caused so much damage.

Unfortunately the driver of the white truck was killed.

A firefighter died and three of his colleagues were injured in a horrific traffic accident while responding to the call of duty. General Fire Department staff expressed in a press statement yesterday their great sadness at the death of Sergeant Yousef Talaq Al-Rasheedi and the injury of three of his fellow firefighters from Al-Mangaf fire station. The department staff added that the accident occurred when the group of firefighters headed to Fahd Al-Ahmad area after receiving a call from the operation center informing them about a family trapped inside a residential elevator.
Lieutenant Hussein Ashkanani, Sergeant Mohammad Zabin Al-Mutairi, Sgt Yousef Talaq Al-Rasheedi and Corporal Mishari Al-Kharaza were all inside the fire car which was involved in an accident, preventing them from arriving to Fahd Al-Ahmad, they added. “The other firefighters sustained fractures and bruises and were administered first aid before being admitted to Al-Adan Hospital,” the staff said, noting that the Deputy Director of General Fire Dept Brigadier Yousef Al-Ansari and Deputy General Director Brigadier Khaled Al-Mukrad and a number of commanders and firefighters visited the injured firefighters at the hospital. The department prayed Allah the Almighty to accept the martyr, heal the injured and save everyone from all harm.

Such a sad accident. May his soul rest in peace.

There aren't too many accessory shops that are like the states, if any. I wish there was an Autozone or something like it here instead of having to go to 10 different places to get things for your car. This place is in Fahaheel tucked away from the main streeet which is nice. You can drive your car up inside the parking area and get out of the traffic. They have all kinds of things for cars from China of course but we're in Kuwait so this is as good as it gets. They also do upholstery, stickers and tint. I went there to get the black sun screens for my car until I get the glass tinted.

The last picture is of the tow hook I want to add to my SUV for the time someone dares to rear end me, they will have their front end taken off.

Kuwait traffic, accidents and douchebag Drivers

Once upon a time there was little traffic in Kuwait. The only time to avoid the streets and highways was around 1 pm. I could make it from Marina Crescent to Fintas in 12 minutes on the weekends, not anymore. You would be lucky to get out of the parking lot in 12 minutes not to mention the bumper to bumper traffic on the way home. These days there is no escaping traffic. From 6 am when I go to work until late night there are constant traffic jams everywhere. I think a major contributor is the huge numbers of unregulated taxis. When I came to Kuwait taxis were few and far between and most were run by citizens or local Arabs. Now the taxi drivers practically chase down people walking or standing on the sidewalk.

It bugs me when they blow their horns and pull up next to you almost insisting you need a ride, that's when I show them my keys and tell them to buzz off, not to mention the accidents they cause when they suddenly stop without warning while harassing people. They are supposed to be using the meters in their cars but seldom do it. The police have been pulling over drivers to check and see if they are using the meters.

 Accidents in Kuwait happen every minute of the day, this one was last weekend. As I went to take a right turn there was this Prado on it's side half way in the turn lane. The police moved it out of the way.

 And of course the douchebag drivers of Kuwait. This is the sixth ring exit which is a total nightmare. People try to push their way into the left turn lane from the right turn lane. My poor mom got hit twice by people forcing their way into the lane. This guy couldn't wait for his turn or the light to turn green and proceeded to turn left at a red light.

Make sure you buckle up and put children into car seats, it only takes a couple extra minutes and it could save their precious lives.
