Cupcake Album Cover with Want2Scrap
Hey everyone! I'm so excited to be sharing with you a new chipboard album that I discovered at the Want2Scrap booth a few months ago and have finally had the chance to play with....meet the Cupcake Chipboard album!!
Ack! I just absolutely adore this album! Now, this is just the cover of the album...I plan on finishing out the inside pages and sharing with you in upcoming posts. :) I used quite a bit of Want2Scrap products here....of course some bling...but can you notice something else chipboardy here?
Mmmm...some new assortments of Chipboard flourishes. I simply sugared it up and layered it on top of some bling flourish that I cut from this little number HERE. I think they make such a beautiful pair together and you will probably see this again! :)
And can you believe that I snagged some of this lovely crochet trim from Want2Scrap as well? They seriously do carry everything for your scrappin' needs! Now, I need to get cracking on the inner pages...I'm so excited to play more with this...and there are more little cute items to show that are included in the book!
Thanks so much for looking!!!

The Key to My Heart
Hey everyone! I know it's been a while, but after a brief hiatus (hi summer!), we are back to posting over at the Want 2 Scrap blog! I have a project up there with a little mini tutorial for ya. :) Here are some glimpses of what I've made...
And there are many more pictures over on the Want2Scrap blog, so go and check it out there for more details. :)
I used the Flower Power Acrylic album, heart chipboard, and some of their very cool bling strips!
I am gearing up to head to my very first CHA event and I'm excited as all get out! A little nervous about traveling, but I plan on enjoying every second there! My posts will probably be sporadic...if non-existant, lol! I'll be back though! I'll also have another Want2Scrap project to share with you on Thursday. Until then....

A mini book for MY dad
I actually started this project back in June for my dad's birthday/Father's day...and of course I didn't get far...I'm just slow as molasses trying to do scrapbook pages...no matter how small! Anyway, the Verve challenge to make Gifts, Decor, and more really inspired me to get back at it and hopefully finish this to present as a Christmas gift for my dad. Now, my dad is a real sensitive guy (don't tell him you read that here!) and I think that he'll appreciate this a ton. I actually had tears in my eyes putting this together. Here's the cover on an acrylic scalloped square base.
I actually really love how this cover turned out! Lots of dimension with the chipboard all over it.
On the inside of the cover is the first page...him holding me as a newborn. :)
Can you tell by the haircut he was in the military? Or is it that military green shirt that gives it away? LOL!
And onto the next page!
What a handsome man he is! He was so lucky to be blessed with such a chubby baby! hee hee
So I'm not completely done with the mini-book yet, but the pictures progress all the way up to my high school graduation. I hope he cherishes it as I cherish him!
Now...for some quick non-stamping-related stuff :)
Today was "bring a friend day" over at our little friend, Sophia's ballet class. The class is for 2-3 year olds...and well, I think that my Catie might be a little young for the class. She barely lasted 15 minutes, ROFL! Here are a couple pics I wanted to share. :)
She just couldn't stand still! During the stretching routine, she just stood by the door moving her arms in the stretch motions...then she walked around the class a bit, opened the door, and proceeded her merry little way OUT! LOL
She has really been into hair clips lately so she insisted the little blue one stay on...you know 2 year olds and their temper tantrums?! I didn't want to battle one so we just left it on. :)
I'll be back in the morning with my take on Taylor's Sketch Challenge so see you then! Busy night tonight and still a million things to do....

I CAN Scrapbook!
At least that it is what I'm trying to convince myself. :) I participated in a swap between Paper Popsicles and Shimmerz and was thrilled to receive a whole package of scrapbooking goodies. Now, you all know that I RARELY scrapbook, so bear with me here.
Here's my first layout using some paper from SEI. I used my favorite technique with stamping with Shimmerz. All those tone on tone flowers are very Shimmery. See here!
I inked up my flower stamp with Versamark and then spritzed my Baby's Breath Spritz directly onto the stamp and then stamped...VOILA! So easy and leaves a beautiful effect.
This was my 2nd layout...I couldn't do just one with all of the goodies they sent!!! :) This uses paper from Pebbles. As you can see, I shimmered up my flowers. And here's a better view.
I used Olive green shimmerz on the large flower and then December Sky Blingz on the smallest flower.
Let me tell you...I'm such a novice at scrapbooking that it took me like 5 hours per page to complete, LOL! I need help! Actually, I probably just need more practice. I'm very happy with the results though! :)
Thanks for stopping in!

Scrapbook for Ava
So two weeks ago tonight, my good friend had her precious baby Ava (who I got to see today!) I've forgotten how teeny tiny newborns are and I just miss that so much! She's just a beautiful little girl and I wanted to make a nice little "first" scrapbook for her since mommy is now busy with a newborn and just-turned 3 yr old!
I was inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch to create the cover (I told you I'd do a Mojo sketch!!). And here's the cover.
My friend really likes the vintage-y type things so this was my poor attempt at it, lol. My vintage needs more practice. With that said, I did love it! Yes, the thought crossed my mind to take out the Ava letters and put in my own daughter's, LOL. Is that so wrong?!? Ok, so I didn't keep it for myself, but vowed to make my own...YARIGHT!
There are about 12 embellished pages inside, and I really didn't get any shots of them, because you know I work at the last minute and wasn't able to spend some good quality time taking photos. During the few photos I DID take, my 22 month old was happily working the ins and outs of my copics...YIKES! (She's been wearing green copic marker on her leg for about 3 days now)
Here's a decent shot of some flowers I die cut and sprayed with Shimmerz Spritz Bed of Roses though!
Hope you have a great weekend! I have a stamp a stack this Sunday to finish preparing for. I hope to play with more stamps this weekend at some point though!
Until then.....

A Taylor Challenge and Scrapbook pages
Wow, it feels like I haven't updated in ages! I've been so busy with Christmas quickly approaching. I am VERY proud to say, however, that I have finished most of my shopping and all the gifts are wrapped!! Oh yes...let me just take a quick moment to pat myself on the back once again. :) I also really have been busy stamping! I wanted to participate in Taylor's latest cupcake challenge and this is my Christmas card.
I used more of that glitter paper (love it!) and the retired Stampin' Up! set, Love and Joy. That's such a classy set, I don't know why they let it go! It will probably make another appearance for Valentine's. I also used retired Dots & Dashes dsp. This was a pretty quick and simple card to put together. You can't see it, but I used the at you! Spica red pen to color in the middle snowflake for sparkle. Looks VERY sparkly in person!
My scrapbook club also met today and this was the spread that they did.
The second page was TOTALLY CASEd from Stampin By The Sea. I just love her scrapbook pages. Sorry the pictures don't turn out very well....I seriously need to figure out how to take good photos of 12x12 pages. Add that to the ever-growing list of things!!
I also came up with a progressive to 12x12 page using the I Wish simply scrappin' kit. This layout is super simple and all I added was some glitter and ribbon. I can't wait to put some pictures on it, but here's how the layout went.
6 x 6
8 1/2 x 11
and the 12 x 12
Ok...I think that's a fair amount of wall of text/pics in a single post. Don't forget, you can click on the photos to see a better view!
Thanks so much for getting "in stamping mode!"

My Lil' Pumpkin
A while back, I found a 12x12 scrapbook spread that I just HAD to CASE! You can see the original at Kimberly's blog. It's sooo stinkin' cute!
I'm 4.5 years behind on my son's scrapbook (he's 4.5)....does that tell you anything? :) Anyway, I knew exactly what pics to use for this one and decided last night I would start AND finish it! LOL Oh how I could fill a year's full blog of pictures of half finished projects...but I digress. Here is my what I did.
And here is the 2nd page:
All products Stampin' Up!
I also recently participated in a "Big Shot" swap and got this FABULOUS card from a wonderfully sweet demonstrator...JEN BAMBERG!! *excitedly waves to Jen* This card is a shoe-in in an upcoming Xmas Stamp a Stack class.
Now I need to run to the gym....literally! I had Double-Dave's pizza today and well, that just doesn't mix well with Weight Watcher's. Off to earn me some Activity points, LOL!
Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT day!

Digging for gold....and a hostess gift
Quick reminder....today is the last day to RSVP for the Halloween treats class!
Now onto the new and exciting stuff. :)
To thank my wonderful hostess (Mary!) for having a party for me tomorrow, I will be presenting her with this Cupcake tray
It includes the muffin mix, buttercream frosting, sprinkles, foil baking cups, decorative picks, and a cupcake 4x4 card. I got the tray at Hobby Lobby (or Michael's!) and painted it to match the new Riding Hood Red In Color. I lined the inside of the tray with some Bella Rose designer series paper.
Here's another picture of the inside of the tray:
Excuse the furry bottom of the picture...it's not a pet! Just a sheepskin rug. :)
I hope Mary likes her gift!
Mary also request a scrapbook spread shown since there will be some scrapbookers there. Last night...er, early in the wee hours of the morning, I put together a Progressive to 12x12 scrapbook layout. I got my inspiration for this layout from Mary Polcin at Convention.
Starting with a 6x6 page, my very adorable daughter Catie!
The 8 1/2 x 11 spread...hey mom! Look! I'm 1!
And here with the 6x6
Waaaait a minute!! Catie had other plans for that finger! :)
I shifted the 6x6 page to the side and added another picture onto the 8 1/2 x 11 page. I'm still debating on keeping the "digging for gold" picture in there or switching it out with something 'cuter.' What do you think?
Here is what I used for the scrapbook layout:
Stamps: Eastern Bloom, Bloomin' Beautiful, Heard from the Heart
Inks: Pumpkin Pie, Pixie Pink, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Pixie Pink, Pumpkin Pie, Sweet Always dsp, Whisper White
Accessories: Felt Flowers, Pretties brad, Dazzling Diamonds, Crystal Effects, white Gel Pen, 3/8" Chocolate grosgrain, Photo Corner punch
Hope you have a GREAT weekend!
