SDCC 2017: SYFY's Krypton Teaser Trailer

Set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, KRYPTON follows Superman’s grandfather (Cameron Cuffe, “The Halcyon”) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. Based on DC characters, KRYPTON is from Warner Horizon Scripted Television and is executive produced by David S. Goyer (“Man of Steel,” “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” “The Dark Knight” trilogy) through his Phantom Four banner. SHARKNADO: The 4th Awakens on Syfy July 31st!

An Enigma. A product of our times. The result of one overly excited viewer on a horrific acid trip igniting a monster loving public's imagination to the extent that a movie that would probably have just been another oddball Syfy Saturday night becomes a phenomenon, spawning sequels and merchandise that baffles the mind of marketers across the planet. Use whatever logic you like to explain the popularity of the salt water juggernaut known as SHARKNADO, but the crew behind these hilarious monster battles are a bunch of great people and we'll cheer for them for as long as this lasts!

The fourth installment of the SHARKNADO franchise will take place five years after the East Coast was ravaged in last summer's SHARKNADO 3: OH HELL NO!. Fin (Ian Ziering), his family and the cosmos have been blissfully sharknado-free in the intervening years, but now sharks - and 'nados! - are being whipped up in places (and ways) least expected.

SDCC 2013: The Calm Before The Dork

As you pack your finest button down shirts with Megatron, Mumm-Ra and the Punisher logo surrounded by flames in a tasteful array of colors, alongside all your survival gear for the epic journey that is everyone's own personal road to Comic-Con, the town that hosts it all readies itself for the cloud of geek, like an oncoming storm of Superior Spider-Man gripes at their tables and many a high pitched Anime-esque squee (from man and woman) as old friends inexplicably run into each other on the streets outside their shops. All that begins tomorrow...but today...all is quiet. The workmen are building...the hotels are wrapped with upcoming movie art...and the streets are clean and calm...all waiting for the oncoming storm. Dun dun duuuuun. That's your que. You are the storm. Go get em, kids!

Syfy's Heroes of Cosplay

Cosplayers and cosplay contests are a fixture and highlight at the many comic book and genre fan conventions around the world. These conventions provide an international stage for fans to showcase often spectacular handcrafted costumes and portray their favorite characters from sci-fi movies, video games, anime and more. In Syfy’s new Heroes of Cosplay (formerly Cosworld), nine passionate fans put their imagination and skills to the test to make a name for themselves in the competitive world of cosplay.

Heroes of Cosplay is a tantalizing docu-series that lifts the veil on the imaginative world of cosplay competition, because fans at the comic book conventions don’t merely dress up as their favorite character; they also compete to see who’s the best!

Jerry Macaluso Takes On Face Off Season 2!

Ever watch a trailer for a movie or TV show and go "Hey! I know that guy!!" Well, the trailer for the new season of Syfy channel's Face Off just did that to me! You all will recognize Jerry Macaluso as the guy behind SOTA Toys wildly successful Street Fighter action figure line, and more recently, head of Pop Culture Shock Collectibles (who have just launched a Thundercats statue line that will blow your mind), but what many people don't realize is he has an insane background in the special effects world. One look at his IMDB listing will reveal titles like Ed Wood, Mystery Men, Little Nicky, Darkman, Fist of the North Star and House on Haunted Hill, among many others. Now, Jerry will be pitting his considerable skills against the chosen few picked to compete in this annual competition/reality show! Here's the skinny for those that missed last season...

Face Off is a competition/elimination series exploring the world of special-effects make-up artists and the unlimited imagination that allows them to create amazing works of living art. The contestants are tasked with elaborate feature challenges including executing full body paint make up on models and creating their own horror villain. Not only will the show incorporate effects make-up, it will include a wide range of skill sets including prosthetics, 3-D design, sculpting, eye enhancers, casting and molding. Each episode involves incredible reveals of the competitors' finished work, and the drama of one contestant being sent home by the panel of expert and celebrity judges. It all culminates in one winner and one grand prize that will launch a career.

Here's the trailer!

Tune in to the Syfy channel Wed, January 11th, 2012 and cheer on one of our own!!
