CLONE COPS Replicates in Theaters & VOD January 31

Freestyle Digital Media has announced the official release of the sci-fi action comedy Clone Cops. The nightmare tech-comedy is the feature directorial debut of Danny Dones. Clone Cops tells the story of an alternate future where a gang of outlaws must defend their lives against an assault from the hottest product on the market -- a disposable police force cloned in a lab and programmed for violence. The gang battles waves of replicating security forces until they discover a shocking secret about who they are and what they're up against. 

Clone Cops will open theatrically in select markets Friday, January 31, including Los Angeles, New York City and Nashville, for weeklong runs. The same day, audiences across North America will be able to rent or own Clone Cops on Cable VOD and Digital HD, including Apple TV, Prime Video and Fandango at Home.

Almost 25 years after its original debut, Disney Branded Television announced today the return of the beloved family comedy “Malcolm in the Middle” for a limited, four-episode run on Disney+ globally. From 20th Television and New Regency, the new episodes will see the return of original cast members Frankie Muniz as Malcolm, Bryan Cranston as Hal, and Jane Kaczmarek as Lois. A premiere date will be announced at a later time.

Through dozens of interviews, Wenc charts The Onion’s rise, its position as one of the first online humor sites, and the way it influenced television programs like The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. Reggie Watts Dropping Latest Special, NEVER MIND

HUNDREDS OF BEAVERS Hits North American Screens

Hundreds of Beavers is excited to announce their North American theatrical rollout. The film, which was lensed in Wisconsin and Michigan over a period of four years, will begin screenings with a Great Lakes Roadshow. The cast and crew of the comedy cult hit of the 2023 festival circuit, are coming to cities around the Great Lakes to host rowdy screenings of their surreal slapstick winter comedy through January and February.

Each performance will include an intro, live performers, exclusive merchandise, and a Q&A with special and surprise guests. The screenings will kick off in Minneapolis, MN on January 26 at the Showplace Icon Theater and conclude in Toronto on February 10 at the Fox.

Following the Roadshow, Hundreds of Beavers will go on screening across the United States for runs in New York City (IFC Center beginning February 27), Los Angeles (Laemmle Glendale beginning March 15), Atlanta (Plaza Theater on February 9), Charlotte (The Independent Picture House beginning March 29) and more.

Apple TV+ Announces “BE@RBRICK,” the Animated Series

Apple TV+ today announced it will expand its Academy and Emmy Award-winning offering of stories for kids and families with “BE@RBRICK,” a new 13-episode animated series from DreamWorks Animation and Dentsu Inc., and based on Medicom Toy’s world-renowned collectible bear-shaped figures.

“BE@RBRICK” is a music-driven comedy about young singer-songwriter Jasmine and her bandmates as they pursue their dreams and inspire others to do the same. But it won’t be easy to do when living in a world where everyone’s role is chosen for them and where the painted-on look you receive when you graduate from high school determines who you’ll be for the rest of your life. Jasmine realizes that in order for her world to change, she and her friends may have to make it happen themselves.
