One of the best things about Indian Thali is that you get a bite size portion of everything the restaurant Chef is famous for. What I like to do is make a little of everything and then serve a little variety everyday of the week.

Hi Aprasad! I just noticed you responded to the "Thali" thread on the Discussion Group. It is recipes for the different curried vegetable dishes that I am after. The restaurant that my husband and I visit serves about 7 little dishes of curried vegetables when you order the Thali. I thought perhaps that they were 'standard' but I guess now I need to figure out what they are and just look for recipes for those in particular. I think one is a butternut squash and then there is another one that has a definite 'licorice' flavour to it.

you can reduce the red chillies to what ever level of heat you want, 4-5 is usually mild heat. 10-20 is hot heat.

Hi there! I'm so honored you tried our version of Palak Paneer! As I said on the recipe, I had nothing to base it on, but it's one of the fond memories my boyfriend has of his time, there, and the street vendors. :) Thank you so much for trying it, and for letting me know your family enjoyed it!
