About Me
I'm a professional southern girl who grew up cookin' and eatin' hearty, stick to your ribs foods made with fresh produce and meat and eggs from our own stock. The best cooks I know are both my grandmothers and my own mama and to
this day, I still cook often for my family...including my 3 older, hard working, brothers. I nearly never eat fast food and am not a fan of most prepackaged foods.
I also don't have much of a sweet tooth. I can, and do, bake a fair bit for other friends and family members, so if a sweet recipe catches my eye, I'll comment on it, of course!
I won't be posting any recipes from books or magazines, etc...anything I post will be either from a recipe card from family or from my head...not to say all will be totally original, but most likely there won't be an exact duplicate...I love to tweak. ;)
And, finally....yes, I'm southern, but I don't care for sweet tea or grits and yes, I'm female, but could easily do without chocolate.
I know, I know...but, I promise, you can still trust me. ;)
