Good soup! I did this a bit different and cut it in half. I had two garlic sausages to use up. I cut them up and added them to the onions (1/2 cup) to cook them a bit. I didn't have any green pepper but my can of tomatoes had green pepper and onion in them. I used one can of chicken broth. It didn't cover the ingredients by 1" but I don't like soupy soup so that was fine with me. Used a teaspoon of Italian seasoning. I liked the red pepper flakes in there. I could get the heat from them at the very end. A tad more in IMI. 9/7/15

I ran into this recipe a week ago and made it and it was fabulous. However I did do a few things differently. I wanted a pizza similar to what I love in restaurants so I altered my toppings a little. Also, instead of using the white flour, I used nothing but whole wheat. The dough was so easy to stretch out into the pizza pan it was amazing! I'm terrible with yeast but this recipe was super easy to follow. Thanks for posting.

thank yo so much for the friends invite - and thanks again for the fun comment on my red herring (i use matjes) recipe. yessss, it is good but you have to give the flavours time to develop. if you want to serve it in the evening, make it early in the morning. it does not spoil even when made one day ahead (of course, it only survives in the fridge :-) ). even those who told me beforehand they don't like 'this stuff' have eaten more then their share. just do not leave any ingredient out, please, it is the combination which does it. Take care of yourself - Renate
