I❤️TRAVEL LAYOUT | with Traci

I guess most of us aren't doing much traveling these days, but I have plenty of travel photos from past trips that I haven't scrapbooked yet.  And now that we're at home more than usual, we can take advantage of some crafting time!  I had so much fun creating this layout using I❤️Travel.
I love all the adorable die cuts that came in the Odds & Ends, Tags, and Chit Chat.  It was really hard for me to choose which ones to use because they're all so cute! That little sunshine kills me!
Wow, so clearly I need my contacts adjusted!  I had no idea that my cute little swirly border from the This & That sticker sheet didn't get lined up correctly.  Oh well, handmade isn't suppose to be perfect right? :)
Isn't that tiny little camera adorable!? He is a shape sprinkle from "picture perfect", and those colorful suitcases are the "pack your bags" DoodlePop.  I hope I've given you a little travel layout inspiration today!  Stay safe and healthy everyone!

I❤️TRAVEL LAYOUT | with CAROLI

Few years ago I had the chance to travel with my little girl to Orlando, and we spent 10 days at Walt Disney World. It was such a great experience for the two of us, it was the first travel of my little girl outside South America. Of course I had to document it, and this layout cut file was the perfect fit for my photo and for the memories I wanted document.

I love that Doodlebug is now creating cut files specially designed for being used on layouts, as a layout enthusiast I really enjoy using them. In this layout I used the "world traveler" file as title of my page. I backed it with papers form the 6x6 inches pad.
As always, my fave item of this collection is the Odds & Ends package and in this layout I used them to create some kind of column in the middle of the page, with different levels and also including some sprinkles here and there to make the design more interesting.

I really enjoyed playing with this collection, its colorful and happy, and it worked perfectly for tis travel memories. I hope you liked it as well, thank you for stopping by today!

I❤️TRAVEL INTERACTIVE CARD | with Karen

Okay, here's the thing. I love interactive cards! I love making them and I love receiving them and although they do take me a little more time on the creation end of things, I am never disappointed with the results! So when Doodlebug released the I❤️Travel collection and I got a look at all the adorable vehicle stamps in the let's getaway doodle stamp set, I knew there was going to be an interactive creation (or two or three) on the crafty table soon.
Where better to start than with the adorable camper van stamp? I coloured it up with alcohol markers to match some of the papers from the I❤️Travel and then used the matching die cut set to cut it out.
Then I simply started placing the van down and started planning my little sceneI grabbed a craft knife and created a little path for my camper van, covering my pull tab with the adorable road-themed washi tape (one of my favourite washi tapes of all times)! And then for a little hidden surprise, I masked out and layered some of the heart shapes from the stamp set to create a little exhaust cloud that is revealed when the camper van moves. It's a simple concept for an interactive card, but one that comes together really well for all sorts of occasions!
So get out those stamps and get them moving! This set of doodle stamps is full of possibilities for interactive cards and I can't wait to see what you create with them!
Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

I❤️TRAVEL POCKET PAGE WITH A SPIN | with Shellye

Pocket Letters, Pen Pals and Snail Mail are all the rage!  Today I'm sharing a fun take on a pocket letter that's made from cardstock and patterned papers vs. plastic sleeves.  Let's take a look:
To begin I started with a 12X12 sheet of Maraschino Cardstock and scored as follows:
3.25" and 8.75"; turn paper 90 degrees and repeat.
Next, I cut the 3.25" and 8.75" scored lines down to the adjoining score line below it.
I chose to corner-round the edges and then cover the panels with various patterned papers.
On the largest, center panel I added one of the  5"X5" cards and trimmed the inner flap to make a pocket:
The little card pocket is a nice place to add larger items such as tags, doilies, die-cuts, stickers, etc.
On the left-hand side I created another pocket and tucked in a collection of die-cuts.  On the lower panel I attached a sampler of enamel shapes.

On the right side panels I attached jelly clips by making bands of paper that were attached with strong adhesive tape.  The clips were inserted through the loops and to the last loop, a strand of mini clips were tied on.
For the bottom panel I attached two bobbins with samplers of washi tapes!  The bobbins were held in place with large brads.
Now that the inside is complete, it's time to finish the outside! The flaps were folded neatly into the square shape.  A band of patterned paper (approximately 3"X 12") was wrapped around the folded packet and then a piece of strong adhesive added to hold the ends together.
Lastly, the front was decorated with a square of paper , stickers and then addressed to the pen pal!

Thank you for joining me today in sharing one of my favorite projects to make!

I❤️TRAVEL HOME DECOR | with Jennifer

Hello Doodlebug friends. To be honest, I was completely at a loss, as to what to create for my I Love Travel assignment. Fortunately for me, I have a "team" of creative minds ready to assist. My kids! So here's my interpretation of someone rushing to the airport Doodlebug style.

To create this piece, I used my Silhouette to cut some basic shapes and car file out of thin chipboard. The chipboard pieces were then glued on to various thicknesses of foam board and cut out using a sharp utility knife.  The car details were cut out of layers of chipboard.
All the pieces for the base were covered with patterned paper and then glued together. Next, the chipboard pieces of the car were covered and pieced together, along with patterned paper for the window and stickers (the driver, pug, and suitcases). The chipboard car was then glued onto the foam board, as shown. The sides and back of the car were then covered with paper also.
I used some cute stacked suitcases (a doodle-pop sticker) on top of the car, which was mounted to chipboard for added thickness.

The same doodle-pop had some mini flag stickers which I attached to the car and the cases for some added fun detail.
The top tier of the piece needed a little color, so some colorful arrow stickers and heart-shaped sprinkles were used.
It's hard not to go overboard with all these cute icons.
To make the stickers and die-cuts durable on this project, I mounted most of them to chipboard.
Here you can see a few more stickers mounted to a wood dowel to create a little sign.
Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope you have been inspired to use this versatile collection on some of your travel projects.  Happy crafting everyone!

I❤️TRAVEL POCKET PAGES | with Nathalie

You have seen many amazing projects created with the I❤️TRAVEL collection so far but today I am here to inspire you to use this fun new collection to document your travels in your pocket pages!
I created this page and insert to record the start of a recent trip in my family album. I made the cards using papers from the 6x6 I❤️TRAVEL pad along with a couple of tags from the Odds & Ends Tags pack. For my title card below, I combined the tag with a Doodle-pop (Jet set) and Teensy alpha stickers.
Travel collections are my favorites and this one makes me happy! These little passports from the Mini Icons sticker sheets were perfect to illustrate our international travel. By placing them directly on the negative space of my photo, I added an eye-catching splash of color which enhance said photo. Aren't they the cutest together?
My journaling card features another sticker from the Mini Icons sheet and I placed it right in the center with foam adhesive. I like the look of the journaling (typewritten) all around it.
As you can see, I❤️TRAVEL looks great in pocket pages! Whether you traveled near or far this Summer, don't wait to document it and share your pages with us by using #doodlebugdesign on Instagram. I'd love to see them!

I❤️TRAVEL CARD | with Karen

I don't think it is any surprise that I have been a happy crafter since Doodlebug released stamps earlier this year! Almost every Doodlebug project I create has at least one stamped image as a part of the design. And every time a new set is released I get more and more excited! So why do I love the Doodlebug stamps - besides the obvious Doodlebug cuteness and amazing quality of these stamps? I have always found stamps to be very versatile! Need a little embellishment to fill a space? Grab one of the adorable heart stamps that happen to come in a variety of sizes from a set like the i ❤️travel doodle stamps.
Need a larger image to fill up a space on a card? Grab a couple of different stamps like these cute suitcases and do a bit of masking or layering to get a substantial image that becomes the focal point of your project! Love how it worked out? Stamp and repeat! Feeling a bit "meh" about the design? Get out the stamp pad and try something different! Experiment and play to your heart's content!
And while I know this post is all about why I love the stamps, can we just take a minute to stop and admire the amazingness of Doodlebug sprinkles as well?! Ahhhhhh....
So, if you are already a stamper, I know you will agree that this new addition to the Doodlebug line-up has lit the crafty fire in your creative space! And if not, why not give them a try? They really are oodles of Doodlebug fun!
Thanks for stopping by!

I❤️TRAVEL DAILY DOODLES ALBUM | with Anabelle

It's been a long time since I scrapbooked a mini-album or a page. That's because my son is now a teen and won't even let me point the camera his way! I have always enjoyed memory keeping, but haven't had much to document lately. Then, the I Heart Travel line came into my life and I had the perfect project. I created this adorable album in the Daily Doodle Mint Travel planner and love how it turned out. This summer, I have been screen-shotting and saving pictures of my son on the Snap Chat Map. Snap Chat is the way we communicate and I can follow him on the map. His little image shows up doing all sorts of things. I thought it was really cute, so I started saving the pics. I realized, I could create a travel album of his summer adventures - this kid has been on the go since school ended - using the Snap Chat pictures along with a couple of other ones. I love how it turned out.

To make the album, I used a grid lined insert. I started off by decorating the front pocket with travel themed die cuts. I love all of the sweet elements in this collection.

I made a cover for the insert using the Happy Trails paper. I decorated it using papers and stickers. I love using Doodlepops for the added texture and dimension.
The first page of the album is an introduction page. I love the large stickers on the This and That sticker page. They are perfect for titles!
As I said, getting actual photos of my son isn't easy. I know other parents of teens have the same problem! So, to complete my album, I had to be creative. Each page shows a place he went this summer. The first one was our trip to the beach. I added a photo of the condo where we stayed and used that to document this part of his journey.

The die cuts from the Odds and Ends pack are my favorites! I love how I can easily decorate my page with them. The beauty of memory keeping in the Daily Doodle is that I don't need a ton of supplies for each  page. I love adding texture and dimension to my pages so I popped the cloud on with foam adhesive.
His next big adventure was going to California with his dad, uncle and cousin. Here's where the Snap Map pictures come into play. While he was away, I was able to see where he was. I LOVE how cute the Bitmojis (his little cartoon like figure) look. The airplane and luggage die cuts were perfect for this page about his time in the airports.
First, he visited the San Francisco area where his cousin lives. (Good thing he is on Snapchat so he could be in the picture, too!) I love the banners from the Chit Chats pack. It's easy to layer them across both pages of the spread. As you can see, I used the same washi throughout the book for consistency.
This page about his journey to Yosemite was kept simple on purpose. I added a few small stickers and die cuts, but the focus is on the Vacation Time paper. I used it throughout the book for matting the photos and to journal. I left it blank here so that he could list all of his favorite things about this trip. Since the album is for him, I wanted him to have some say in the journaling. This paper is perfect for him to do so.
Sometimes you have to be 'stealthy' when getting a photo of your teen. Here he is ordering a burger at our favorite spot in Nags Head. I had to hide in the car to get this shot. (Well, not actually hide, it was WAY too hot to stand in the sun, so I waited in the car and took the opportunity to grab the shot. :) ) I'm glad that he actually made an appearance in the album!

I used the Vacation time paper again and documented the fun things we did on this trip!
On this page, about another trip to the beach, the photos take center stage. All I needed to do was add a few small die cuts and some Icon stickers.
This last page is about a boat trip he took. I love the cruise ship images and thought it would be perfect to go along with the cute photo. Adding the border strips draws the eye to the main elements of the page.

As you can see, documenting your teen's travels CAN be fun. I love how versatile the I Heart Travel line is. There was something perfect for each of his adventures. Thanks for joining me on this journey. Happy Trails!
