LOVE NOTES Layout | with Caroli

Last year I experienced several changes in my life, all good changes which helped me to become a better and happier person. Self love is one of the things I learned last year and is what I wanted to document on this layout.

I went for a super simple design, cutting the word "self" from a sheet of patterned papers and filling the spaces with different things.
I used patterned paper from the 6x67 inches pad for filling some of the letters, the patterns are smaller so they fit better fot this purpose.
I also created embellishment clusters using the Odds & Ends packages and some Doodle Pops and Shape Sprinkles here and there. Machine stitching looks nice around the letters and gives more texture and volume to the project.

I wanted to use photos in a creative way here, so I used one for filling one of the letters of the word. I chose a photo that fit in the letter I wanted to fill, I think the effect is pretty.
Also, I printed the same photo in a smaller size and cut it as a circle to add a special detail.

Journaling is always something special for me, and here I backed one of the letter with a sheet of patterned paper with a very subtle patter, his way I was able to write my journaling over it.

Finally, for my title I cut the word "love" using my electronic cutting machine and free font "Learning Curve".

It's a all over the page design with lots of little details, different levels, machine stitching around the letters, it's very simple but special at the same time.

I am very happy with how this layout came out and what means to me, I am happy I am able to love myself a bit more everyday :) I hope you like this idea and maybe try something like this or use it as inspiration for a self love project.

Thank you for checking on us, have an amazing day!

WINTER WONDERLAND LAYOUT | with Caroli

Making a snowmen is something almost impossible for someone living in Santiago, Chile, it never snows here... luckily, last year my family and I had the opportunity of going on a winter vacation to the south of my country, and snow is something easy to find there.

I made a snowmen all by myself, and I was so proud of this that I had to document it on a layout, and of course I used Winter Wonderland collection, here is the layout:

I used a simple all over the page design and used a lot of embellishments from the Odds&Ends and Chit Chat packages. I used foam dots to create different levels on the page and make it more interesting.

Journaling is always such an important part of my layouts, I really need to tell my story on every layout, and this was not the exception. I wrote my text using a blue pencil, in order to keep the color scheme of the page, I just love the colors of this collection!
I combined a rectangle and circle shaped photos, this is something that makes your page more fun and eye catching. I love how simple and yet fun this layout came out, it is fun of little details and it makes it so special.

I hope you like this layout and the simple concept of it, sometimes less is more. Thank you for stopping by today!

Have a lovely day!

WINTER WONDERLAND LAYOUT | with Caroli

In the city where I live it almost does not snow, so when a miracle happens and we have few minutes of snow I definitively need to take photos and document it on my scrapbooks.
Last year during a cold winter morning it started snowing and we definitively enjoyed it,  this layout documents the silly pics we took that day.

I went to a simple two column design, on the left I created a title with my Silhouette Cameo and on the right I created a huge embellishment cluster.

I created my embellishment cluster using many snowflakes from the special Odds&Ends package, I love this because it only includes snowflakes, and let's be honest, they're never enough, so It's a great thing to have a package of snowflakes only. Also, it has acetate items, can it get any better??
I also used few snowmen from the regular Odds&Ends package and some Shape Sprinkles and regular Sprinkles to make the cluster richer and more interesting.

I cut the letters for my title and backed them with patterned paper from the 6x6 inches pad, smaller patterns fits better for backing cut files because, so I always use them for this purpose.
Of course I included journaling in my page, and in this case I wrote it in light blue color and combined some words using stickers alpha in purple colores from the Teensy Typo line.
It is a simple layout that documents happy memories of last winter, showcasing fabulous Winter Wonderland collection, perfect!

I hope you liked this idea, thank you for stopping by today!

CHRISTMAS MAGIC LAYOUT | with Caroli

Christmas is my favorite holiday ever, so every year I prepare all kind of details for Christmas Eve's dinner. This is what I documented on this layout I made using beautiful Magic Christmas collection.

I love the beautiful patterns of this collection, specially this ornaments in a teal background sheet, so I decided to feature it by cutting a snowflake on a sheet of white cardstock and backing this negative space with the patterned paper.

I love Doodle Pops, they add a lot of volume to pages and make them more interesting, so in this one I used some here and there in combination with some diet with the Odds&Ends package. Don't you think that the little mouse is too adorable for words?

A nice way of making the design in your page richer -without making it look overwhelming- is by stitching on it, and in this case I used my sewing machine around the snowflake shape, love the effect.

For my title I went for a super simple style and just cut word "Navidad" -that in Spanish means Christmas- using my electronic cutting machine and free font Better Together.
As you may know, journaling is always something important to me, and in this page I went a bit crazy with a massive journaling telling the story of this Christmas. I stamped few hearts here and there and also use some sticker alphas to enhance my writing and making it look like a decorative item as well, love this effect!
I love how this page came out, it super simple and colorful but yet it has a lot of details and also three photos, not too bad, uh?

Have a lovely day!

CHRISTMAS MAGIC SCRAPBOOK LAYOUT | with Caroli

As a Christmas big enthusiast, I have a lot of traditions and one of them is collecting Christmas socks. Last year I took few pics of some of my fave socks and I decided to document this silly tradition on my scrapbooks.

I made a simple layout with two diecuts columns on right and left extremes of the page. I used a cut file from Silhouette Design Store called "Christmas Ornament Border Edge Card" by Lori Whitlock, which actually is a card file, but I adjusted in order to make it cover the whole page.
I backed the cut file with patterned paper from the 6x6 inches pad, and used some diecuts from the Odds & Ends and the Chit Chat packages, as well as some Doodle Pops for embellishing.
I love these little mistletoe Doddle they are perfecto for embellishing the diecuts of the Odds & Ends package and make them even cuter, if possible!

For my title I cut word "socks" using my Silhouette Cameo and font "Sacramento", which you can download from free from the internet.
Of course I wrote a bit about my socks collection and why I do love them, journaling is a very important element of my layouts always.

I love how clean this design is, but at the same time is filled with little details and is very eye catching. I also love that it documents silly random stuff like my socks collection, this is what life is all made after all!

Thank you for stopping by today, hope you liked this layout idea and maybe give it a try yourself!
Have a lovely day!

CHRISTMAS MAGIC MULTI-PHOTO LAYOUT | with Caroli

Finally we are in November and that means that we are allowed to start listening to the Christmas playlist and making plans about how to enjoy the most wonderful time of the year!
If you've been here for a while, you will know I LOVE Christmas, everything about it, and I love to celebrate it as many times as possible. Every year I throw a party called Caroli's Christmas Special, and this is what this layout documents.

My idea was to create an all about the page design, So I used two photos and one journaling spot to create a grid style which works best when adding a few different elements onto the one layout.

I love circle shaped photos, so I used two of them here and there just to make the composition more interesting. Little circle photos are a good idea to add extra details to the story you are telling on your layout but without making the page look too busy.

I created a few embellishment clusters using Odds&Ends, Shape Sprinkles and Doodle Pops. Also, I cut my title with my electronic cutting machine and free font "Better Together". I used white cardstock to make it stand our from all the color of the back.
I love all the color and volume on this page, and also that it has a patterned background!
I really hope you liked this idea and got inspired to start working on your Christmas scrapbooks... or to celebrate Christmas! LOL! Biggest hugs!

CANDY CARNIVAL LAYOUT | with Caroli

I was sorting photos for Halloween projects some days ago and found this darling pic of my little girl some years ago. I can't believe I didn't scrapped it before, so I printed and got down to the business. I wanted to use a circle structure on this layout, so I just cut a big circle in the middle of the page and filled it with the photo. It was such a simple design but i love how this came out.
I used a bunch of die-cuts from the Odds&Ends package and few Doodle Pops to create some embellishment clusters, I didn't used patterned paper in this layout.
The main focus is on the big photo, but I also used few more circle shaped photos on the cluster just to make the composition more interesting and because I love using as many photos as possible on my layouts.

I created my title using my Silhouette Cameo machine and free font "Learning Curve" I found on the internet. I cut it in a circular way, just to keep the whole circle concept.

I love the simple and clean concept of this layout, and that I only used embellishments, it's full of stuff but it looks clean at the same time :)

I hope you like this idea, thank you for being with us today and Happy Halloween!

CANDY CARNIVAL LAYOUT | with Caroli

Last year, for the very first time since I became a mom,  I didn't spend a Halloween with my kids. The reason was because I was out of my country on a scrapbooking convention. The kids had a blast anyway with their dad and my in-laws, and I got to enjoy a different kind of halloween with my friends!
This is what I wanted to document on this layout, of course I used fabulous Candy Carnival collection.

One thing I loved about this collection is the new shaped brad package, in particular the spider brad which is really cute and not scary at all! I started thinking of ways of using these brands and I came up with some interactive photos here and there...

Using brads you can create cute movable elements on your page, in this case I used circle shaped photos and being them I wrote my journaling. I love the effect!
As base of this page I used this gorgeous patterned paper, love the black and white on the back. Also, I created few embellishments clusters here and there using the Odds & Ends package and some Doodle Pops.
For my title I cut word "halloween" using my electronic cutting machine in black cardstock and using Better Together free front. I completed the sentence with some Tiny Typos alpha in orange color.

I love how simple this page came out, but at the same time it has a lot of thing happening! I feel so proud I got to use those cute brads, I'm definitively trying this on another layout again :)

I do hope you like this idea, maybe you have some brads there waiting to be used, now you have a excuse to crack the package open! Thank you for stopping by, have a lovely day!
