Onward Teaser Poster

pixar onward teaser poster

Hark! Since it's been a packed weekend of traveling, tonight I'm just quickly documenting this awesome framed Onward teaser poster that was given to me last night after the Pixar Onward Marathon event I helped co-host with Showcase Cinemas! The team I worked closely with put this aside for me as a surprise memento to take home. I've always loved this poster, so it's exciting to have it now as part of my collection! This is a traditional theatrical sized  24" x 36" poster.

A huge thanks to the Showcase marketing team for this thoughtful gift and an amazing day yesterday! My full blog post with more details on the event will be posted soon. Stay tuned.

Finding Dory: Disney Movie Rewards Exclusive Posters

disney movie rewards exclusive finding dory posters

Available now exclusively through Disney Movie Rewards (DMR), here we have this fantastic trio of Finding Dory minimalist style posters by Japanese artist Kaz Oomori! This is the third collaboration between Oomori and DMR, following the work he did inspired by Star Wars: The Force Awakens (which I have, seen HERE on my Star Wars Instagram account) and Captain America: Civil War (which you can view HERE). Each print is 11" x 17" in size.

Being a fan of his work, I was so excited to see Oomori team up with DMR once again and was even more excited that it was Pixar themed this time around!

HOW TO GET YOURS-
What's really cool is that you get one of these posters (the design seen in the middle in my photo above) for FREE. All you have to pay is $3.75 for the shipping and processing. To order yours, just go to the Disney Movie Rewards website and link your DMR account with your Fandango account and that's it (don't worry, it's simple- the site guides you through the process). That will unlock this exclusive offer.

At check out, you'll have the option to order this complete set of three posters. If you opt in for all three, the price is $17.99 (which includes the shipping and processing). Of course being the completest that I am, the one free poster wasn't good enough. I had to get them all.

I absolutely love what Oomori did with these designs. His use of color and texture is phenomenal. Congrats to him on this amazing work! If you're interested in snagging these for your collection, make sure to head over to DMR soon as the offer ends July 15th. Don't miss out!

The Good Dinosaur: Teaser Poster

the good dinosaur disney movie rewards

Last June, Disney·Pixar revealed their teaser poster for The Good Dinosaur. The beautiful, minimal imagery of Arlo's outline with the human hand print was a design I instantly fell in love with; so when I saw recently that it was available on Disney Movie Rewards, I just had to go for it! And it so happened that I had just enough points.

You can get this Good Dino one sheet poster right now for free on Disney Movie Rewards HERE- just 500 points! It's a standard theater house size of 27"w x 40"h, which is actually pretty massive. I still don't know where I'm going to hang this, so for now it will remain in the poster tube until I get the frame and the space. No doubt it will look fantastic all framed up one day though!

Additionally, not long after I redeemed this offer, the final The Good Dinosaur one sheet went up on Disney Movie Rewards as well (also for 500 points). If you're more interested in that design, be sure to place your order HERE

Enjoy and have fun!

Inside Out: Character Posters

pixar inside out posters

Back in May, I had a fantastic Inside Out themed 25th birthday (check it out HERE if you missed my full write-up) with some equally fantastic party decorations. The cool thing about the decor was that most of it doubled as presents as well! At this point I've reviewed just about all of my Inside Out merch (check out the corresponding label to the right of this page), but I noticed I glossed over a few items that were on display there at the party...these five great character posters featuring your favorite emotions from the film: Fear, Anger, Joy, Sadness and Disgust!

At this point, they're all rolled up and packed away for now- but you can check out the throwback pic to my party above when they were all up on the wall. I have to give the decorating props to my wife Brita; these really made the set-up!

Each poster is 13"x19" (borderless) in size and is printed on thick, premium glossy photo paper. It'll be fun to bust these out again someday; I'll look forward to getting them framed as well.

If you're looking for some Inside Out posters for decor in a bedroom, playroom or, like with here, a party, look no further! Visit the direct links to Amazon below to purchase. Highly recommended!

Inside Out: Teaser Poster

disney inside out poster

On October 2nd, 2014, Pixar released their very first teaser poster for Inside Out. The poster started off as an awesome online "motion poster" with music and was featured on a very early official site for the film. It was then also available as a high-res still image and a tangible movie poster print (size 27" X 40") soon after that (with the tagline "Meet the Little Voices Inside Your Head." and the June 19th release date).

I've always been a fan of the poster's simple, minimalistic design and always figured I'd purchase it at some point. For my recent Inside Out themed birthday (see my full post HERE), my wife surprise me with it (doubling as a decoration and a present)! I'm thrilled to have it as part of my collection and plan on giving it a nice frame and presentation one day in my Pixar man cave.

If you're interested in snagging this poster for your collection, be sure to visit eBay or Amazon (among many other sites) to purchase.

Toy Story That Time Forgot: Limited Edition SDCC Poster

Last month, San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) attendees were given the first ever glimpse at the brand new Toy Story: That Time Forgot half hour TV special, which will premiere on ABC this December.

Those in attendance at the That Time Forgot panel were able to view footage and concept art from the TV special as well as hear some of the filmmakers talk/answer questions about the making of the film. Additionally, at the end of the presentation, guests received this exclusive official poster for the short (FREE of charge) in addition to having the unique opportunity of having it signed by some of the filmmakers present at the panel including: Galyn Susman (executive producer), Steve Purcell (director), Kristen Schall (Flight of the Concords, voice of Trixie in the Toy Story films), Derek Thompson (head of story), Michael Giacchino (the film's composer) and Mike Mignola (who designed this poster, also the creator of Hellboy). The poster measures about 22"x 15".

Since I was not able to attend the 2014 SDCC, I had to resort to eBay for this purchase. Unfortunately mine isn't signed (since the signed ones were out of my price range), but I'm so thrilled to just have this one! I was lucky and only paid $40 for mine, but they typically sell between $75-$150.

I think the design of this poster is fantastic and different than anything we've ever seen before in the Toy Story franchise. I was taken back when I first saw it, since the look is more different and "edgier" than Pixar usually goes for, but I quickly came to see the "awesomeness" of it and was determined to have it as part of my collection. I can't wait to see this film and know that it won't disappoint! December 2nd can't come soon enough.

If you're interested in learning more about this upcoming short, you can watch the entire panel discussion (minus the film clips) from SDCC HERE (thanks to the YouTube channel MouseInfo).

Additionally, visit the eBay link below if you're wanting to track down one of these awesome posters for yourself:

Cars 2: Disney Store Lithograph "Travel Poster" Style Prints

Back in 2011, the Disney Store had a special offer going (for those who per-ordered the Cars 2 DVD and/or Bluray) featuring this fantastic set of four 10" x 14" lithograph "travel posters" based on key locations from the film!

The look and style of these prints is just too cool. Super classy! I just love the feel/vibe they give off. Eric Tan—the artist behind these designs—did an incredible job. The art is exactly the style I seek after. As soon as I saw them online, I was immediately drawn to the minimal, colorful, stylized look and they do not disappoint in person. I knew I needed these framed and on my wall someday, so I didn't waste any time and snagged them right away.

First of all, these prints come in a really nice, sturdy portfolio. The front features one of the film's theatrical posters and the back includes an image of the Tokyo streets.

As you open it up, you'll notice that this is a significantly large, three fold portfolio featuring an incredible amount of characters from the film— almost as cool as the prints themselves! The prints are stored in the middle surrounded by some amazing Cars 2 imagery featuring every single main/secondary car seen in the film...literally! Even many of the background characters are here, ones you'd probably only recognize if you have the diecast cars.

Each travel poster says "A World Grand Prix Event" near the top and includes the Disney Store's "Exclusive Commemorative Lithograph 2011" gold seal in the bottom corner. Also, if you're thinking "these must be rare and/or expensive", you'd be wrong! They can actually be found for dirt cheap on eBay, which I was really surprised about based on how nice these prints are. I purchased these for around $6 and free shipping.

If you're loving these posters as much as I am, go ahead and snag them on eBay using the link below:

The Blue Umbrella: Poster

Happy Fourth of July everyone! While I didn't have any patriotic themed Pixar products to show today, I thought this might be the next best thing because of the red, cream and blue colors...ok yah that may be too much of a stretch, but hey, it's close enough to me!

Pixar's The Blue Umbrella (Directed by Saschka Unseld) premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival on February 12th, 2013. To commemorate the release, this beautiful limited edition poster was available to guests.

While the one I have here isn't an official print from the film festival, it's a flawless reproduction of the same size (11" x 17") currently being sold on Amazon. The print is also available as a 24" x 36" print and that can be purchased on Amazon as well.

I'm just so thrilled to have this! When I saw the image of this poster online back before the film's release, I hoped that I would be able to own it on as a framed print some day. I just love the simple,  minimalist design and the European vibe to it. It really captures the beautiful and artistic nature of the short film.

A huge thanks to my wife Brita who included this as a decoration/present at my The Blue Umbrella themed birthday party back in May. This was such an amazing surprise and I look forward to hanging it on the wall in my Pixar "man cave" in the near future.

This is an amazing print that I really recommend picking up if you're a Disney·Pixar fan, especially if you're a big fan of the short film like I am.

Cars: 3D Poster

Here is the Cars 3D lenticular 11"x14" poster! This was available at Best Buy quite a few years ago. There isn't much to report/review here since it is what it is, but I recommend it to you Cars fans nonetheless! If you're interested in tracking it down, I found one on eBay here

Toy Story 3: Lenticular Poster

It's hard to tell from this picture, but this awesome Toy Story 3 poster is actually a "lenticular" print with a 3D effect! The size is 27" by 17" and is a vinyl type material. I'm not sure where it originally came from, as it was a gift from my parents back in 2010 when the film was released...does anyone remember where this was first available?

This is a great item for any Disney/Pixar fan...especially if you're a movie poster collector. This one is pretty neat because it's not one of the more commonly known Toy Story posters out there.

There are currently 3 of these on eBay so check it out if you're interested in tracking this down! They sell for about $15-$20.

UPDATE: Thanks to blog reader Zach who remembered that this poster were originally available at Toys R Us when you spent a certain amount of money. Thanks for letting me know Zach!
