It’s still 1937 in Europe.

And they still want a permanent solution to the “Jewish Problem”.
EU to require special travel visas for ‘settlers’?

The U.S. administration and the political echelon in Jerusalem surmise that European countries will blame Israel should Kerry’s efforts fail – and that they will then move ahead with plans to label goods produced in Israeli settlements across the 28-member union. Other European proposals that have been raised include requiring visas for Israeli settlers wishing to travel to the EU.

I already blame Kerry, Obama, the PA, Hamas, Fatah and, just for the hell of it, Bush. Israel should never have given up the Sinai, Gaza or the West Bank.
How appropriate for Tisha b’Av: Nazis’ heirs issue directive declaring Judea and Samaria outside Israel

According to the directive, any future agreement signed with Israel must include a clause stipulating that the settlements are not part of the sovereign state and are not included in the agreement. It is unclear if and how any Israeli government ministers, including Economy and Trade Minister Naftali Bennett (Habayit Hayehudi) will agree to sign on to any agreement that contains that distinction.

The directive goes into effect on Friday.

David Kriss, EU spokesman in Israel, confirmed the report, adding that the directive will be published on July 19 in an official EU policy publication. In a statement, Kriss said, “On June 30 the European Commission adopted a Notice containing guidelines on the eligibility of Israeli entities and their activities in the territories occupied by Israel since June 1967 for grants, prizes and financial instruments funded by the EU from 2014 onwards. …

“These guidelines were prepared as a result of the conclusions of the EU Foreign Affairs Council of Dec. 10, 2012 which stated that ‘all agreements between the State of Israel and the EU must unequivocally and explicitly indicate their inapplicability to the territories occupied by Israel in 1967.'”

The territories that had been illegally occupied by Jordan and Egypt since 1948.
Israel may be Europe’s only hope to stop the Long Night from descending again.

UPDATE: Bibi finds his gonads.

“As Israel’s prime minister, I will not allow hundreds of thousands of Israelis living in Judea, Samaria, the Golan Heights and our united capital of Jerusalem be harmed,” he said.
He did not, however, elaborate on how he would fight against the move to restrict EU cooperation only to entities inside the pre-1967 lines.

“We will not accept any external dictates regarding our borders,” he said. “That issue will be decided only in direct negotiations between the sides.

Now if only he follows through.
Nice pic BTW.

  1. I already blame Kerry, Obama, the PA, Hamas, Fatah and, just for the hell of it, Bush. Israel should never have given up the Sinai, Gaza or the West Bank.

For the Sinai, you get to add Brothuh Jimmy to the blame list, as it was handed back to Egypt as part of the Camp David accords.

Absence of fecal matter, there I was, stationed at Fort Bragg in spring of 1986, getting ready to deploy to the Sinai as part of Task Force 2-504 Parachute Infantry Regiment, which was formed to take over duties as USBATT in support of the Multinational Force and Observers. As an Arabic linguist, I was assigned to the battalion S-5 section, as my duties would fall under that section’s liaison function. During my in-country trainup, I was briefed that the Israelis had built approximately five reverse osmosis water plants to provide fresh water to the Sharm el-Sheikh area, where Israelis had established a thriving tourist presence. I was further told that all of these plants were functional when the Israelis withdrew from the Sinai in 1982. By mid-1986, none of these plants still worked, and MFO South Camp (where USBATT is stationed) depended on unreliable water supplies from the Jubayl/Al-Tur area.
