We Got #Snow!

We got some snow!

It was the night of March 27th, and we got a good three inches.

Here are a couple of photos we took:

Kelly put a bit in a bowl for me so I could see it and make a couple of little snowballs.

The snow didn’t stick around – it started melting the moment the sun came up next morning.  But it was a nice, and very unexpected,  surprise.

Random Ramblings - March 22nd 2024

I’ve started trying to go to the ACB calls when I can again.  It’s tiring, but it’s nice to be back in touch with the friends I made when I was more active in the community before I got sick.  I miss feeling well enough to do more, but can’t be helped.

*~*

I’ve made some progress with the things I’m watching and reading, but there’s nothing new to report besides what I said in last week’s post, so you can check that out if you missed what I’m watching and reading and are curious.

It’s been pretty wet here.  So, typical Welsh weather.

It was my brother's birthday last Friday.  So, happy belated birthday to Wayne.

And that’s the extent of news from my little corner of the world.

Random Ramblings - February 9th 2024

There’s not much to say, but here are a couple of random updates.

If you saw last week’s post you’ll know this, but “Pawfect Pet Poems” is now available everywhere my books are sold, in all formats my books are made available in, which includes audio, paperback, and various eBook formats.

Speaking of books, I finished reading “Howl’s Moving Castle” and moved on to “Castle In The Air” which is the sequel.

In other news: I tried joining Dad and Kelly for roleplaying with some friends this past Monday, but it didn’t go to plan.  I think it’s just too much for me to keep up with these days.  It’s a shame, but it is what it is.

We were meant to get more snow.  We didn’t though.  I’m not surprised, but am a little disappointed.

Of #Snow And #Audiobooks

The snow stayed longer than I expected.  It was lunch time before it melted.  I went to the door so Kelly could help me see some of it before it had time to fully melt in his hand.  It would have been nice to go out in it, butI got to see the snow as best as I could under the circumstances, which I was pleased about.

In other news: the audio version of “Pawfect Pet Poems” will hopefully soon be available for sale. In fact, it might already be.  It just finished going through the last of the checks it has to go through to be available for sale.  So, watch out for my official announcement post, or look for it on Audible, iTunes, and Amazon.

January 19th 2024 Random Ramblings

This year has so far gone about as well as possible.  I’m doing as well as I can be under the circumstances physically.  Let’s hope it stays that way for some time yet.

I’m really not sure what else to say.  Mostly my life revolves around medical stuff (I’m staying out of hospital, but have some phone and at home medical appointments happening).  But I am trying to get some other stuff happening in between – when I’m not too tired.

I’ve been reading a little.  I read a book called "Dragonbreeze" by Katrina Cope, which I got an advanced copy of, and am now slowly reading "Howl's Moving Castle" by Diana Wyn Jones.

Plus, I binge-watched “The Big Bang Theory” and the rest of season one of “Wednesday” on Netflix.  Now I’m working my way through old “Critical Role” on YouTube, since I missed the first campaigne completely, and got way behind on the second one.  They’re now on their third campaigne, but I’m starting from the first campaigne, so have a long way to go to catch up.

Oh, and we got a light dusting of snow the other day.  There wasn’t much to it, and it didn’t stick around, but I felt it was better than nothing. Then we got another, slightly heavier, bit of snow yesterday, which is likely gone by the time you are reading this.

That’s about as exciting as things get around here right now.

Hope all is well with you, and you’re finding fun things to do.
