Taiwan Cingshui Cliff, Su-Hua Highway

 清水斷崖 Cingshui Cliff

位於蘇花公路和仁興崇德之間，臨海懸崖所連成的大片山脈石崖，前后綿延21公里，成90度角直插入太平洋，高度均在800米以上，气勢雄偉。清水斷崖戰後也曾被台灣省政府列為台灣八景之一。

Situated between Heren and Chongde on the Su-Hua Highway, Cingshui Cliff is a big formed by Chongde, Cingshui and Heping mountain coastal cliffs. Creating a magnificent scene, it stretches more than 21km and rises vertically from the Pacific Ocean, with an average height of over 800m. This section of cliff is composed of gneiss and marble. It has risen straight up on the eastern coast of Taiwan for thousands of years. The route along the Cingshui Cliff is the only coastal road in Taroko National Park. The site of the Cingshui Cliff was designated in 1953 by the Taiwan government as one of the island's "Eight Wonders".

The picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains run through western Virginia and form the easternmost and highest range of the main section of the Appalachians. The valley of Big Run is one of the Shenandoah National Park's most scenic. From Big Run Overlook (milepost 81.2), the vista opens into the depths of the park's largest stream, surrounded by Rockytop Ridge, Rocky Mountain and Brown Mountain.
