"oh to be in love"

Its been 10 years since this boy made my stomach flip flop with butterflies and yesterday we celebrated our 5th anniversary. Most of you who are familiar with Jason know that he has a good sense of humor and can really make fun of you whether you like it or not... right? But through the years I've seen this humor as a way of showing love, appreciation and through laughing and joking I see him.
I've been blessed to be with a guy who does make me laugh and most important laugh at myself. I see a compassionate, loving, hard worker who does so much to make our lives better. And even though he may not hear me complaining (at times) about my day or remember what to get at the store. He does remember the smell of the shampoo I used in Europe 10 years ago, the stories I've told about my grandparents and countless times where I just needed someone.
This boy has given me so much love and so much happiness that I'm beyond grateful. And I'm grateful for him.. every single day

Smiley Creek

This past weekend we flew up to Idaho to Smiley Creek.
We flew on dirt runways, hiked to a hot spring, and had a lot of fun.
I was a little worried flying with Wren in the little airplane but she did so well and even flew the airplane herself.
After this weekend it made me really excited to do this more often and keep it a family tradition.
Jason is in his element flying backcountry and he's a dang good pilot and I'm happy we got home safe.

Happy Monday

December

So I haven't had a lot of time to play around with the pictures and when I did it ended with frustration. Luckily the pictures on my phone are happily fitting on the blog..hopefully soon you'll see some pictures of Christmas parties and some real cute ones of the babes...she's getting bigger but she's still pretty teeny.

This past week we've been getting ready for Christmas, it's starting to snow a lot these days but before that big storm hit last night Jas and I went to my favorite Blue Plate where as usual I ordered my black bean breakfast burrito. Jas ordered chicken fried steak which I hadn't had since hot lunch in my elementary days.

It's been a good month so far..my yoga classes have ended this semester, we've had family in town and last night we had our cousin's girls night (more on that later).

This week will probably go by fast and Christmas will be here in no time. I can't wait..it's a great time of year.
Happy Sunday

Bittersweet

Yesterday was a bitter sweet day for us. Jason had his last day at his hospital job. He's worked there for 10 years and have made such great friends and learned so much. Not only was it sad to see this job go for him, but I've come to love our Sunday lunches at the hospital. The staff there have opened their arms out to Wren and I. They really have become such great friends to us which we will miss seeing every weekend.

Even though it was tough to let it go.. The boy really needs a day off. He works so much and needs a break for himself and to see Wren & I as much as possible. We couldn't be more excited.

Good Job Jas..it was tough to let it go but are so excited to see you on the weekends.

Night Walks

Sometimes Wren only falls asleep if she's on a walk outside..this night (which was the perfect fall night) we walked a few blocks to meet Wren's new best friend who was born just a few days ago...Wren was more interested in the little dog licking her instead of the sleeping babe next to her..but oh I can't wait until she plays with her new friend. Congrats Ty & Mickelle! She's adorable!
Our little Wren fell asleep as we were walking home...she was watching our shadows and fell asleep looking so adorable. I love this picture..even more I love my little babes (both of them).

Happy Halloween eve..tonight another Halloween bash!

4 years and counting...

4 years ago today I married my best friend. Which means we have been together for 9 years. It's true what Jason says.."we've been together forever." It's gone by fast and I remember when we took this picture (which is one of my favorites). It was 5 years ago and we were hiking up Bells Canyon. Jason had just bought that hat for me which I still wear and we were talking about hiking with our kids, taking them camping. We talked about teaching our kids how to fly airplanes and do yoga. We talked about our future and being together. It was one of those moments where I love to look back on...fast forward to now. This morning I woke up to my little girl smiling at me and my husband getting ready to go to work. Making me laugh, which he has done forever. I wouldn't have my life any other way. Thank you Jason for going to Europe with me 9 years ago, for taking me rock climbing and camping, thank you for making me rhubarb pie and getting me a dr pepper, thank you for making me laugh and letting me vent to you, thank you for being an amazing husband and the greatest dad to our little Wren.

Happy Anniversary

storm

Jason with Coleman, Miller and Fisher

Flying through some tough winds
This past week, the hubby was pretty busy working and had to fly to Colorado to pick up an airplane. For his lunch break, he met up with these cute kids and his sister for a nice break. I heard it was pretty fun, pretty entertaining and I hear there were some awesome dance moves. I'm so happy that he got to see this little family, just wish I was there for it.
The rest of the afternoon, Jas had to fight a storm and had to land in Heber for 3 hours before he could take off again. He got home close to midnight safe with some pretty pictures of the storm. So happy that he is safe..it was such a bad storm and he was right in the middle of it. Happy September

Wren & Ruth's

Wren eating at Ruth's

This past weekend we ate a whole lot and slept a lot. It was the perfect family reunion together. Jason has had a crazy month, flying jets, meetings, working so much. He missed his flight on Friday and we were unable to make it to our family camping trip to Fish Lake. I spent the day with Marta and her new babe, it took my mind off of Fish Lake and I had a great time with the twin..ps her babe is adorable! I can't wait for the day when our little ones start playing together.

Jason finally came home...Wren and I took advantage of our 2 days with him before he gets busy again..we spent it at Moochie's and Ruth's Diner where I inhaled their homemade biscuits. Jason held Wren all day and I took a nap. It was fabulous...this week we're getting ready to celebrate this little babe by blessing her on Friday, it's going to be a great party...pictures to come.

Happy Thursday!

Birthday Boy

First family picture with Wren
Jason's birthday was on Friday. He didn't have the best day since we spent it at the doctors. The boy has bronchitis. The birthday boy took a nap while Wren and I ran errands. Later he couldn't pass up Moochies with our friends and inhaled a philly cheese steak sandwich, just what the sick birthday boy needed. Jason has been working so hard and is such an amazing husband to me and the best dad to Wren. He gets her smiling so big and I love it. I really am so blessed to be able to spend every day with this boy and our little girl.
Happy Birthday Jason, Wren and I sure love you!

the hubby & I

Last week the hubby and I celebrated 3 years of marriage, 8 years of being together and many years being friends. We both got off work early and celebrated by eating my favorite black bean burrito, running around doing errands and being lazy. Exactly what we wanted to do. I remember the moment I wanted to marry this boy, it was years ago...he walked in the room where I instantly got butterflies, which I still do when I see him. He made me laugh so hard that I thought to myself, I want this forever. Years later he still makes me laugh and takes such great care of me. I really am blessed to have this hubby be my hubby. He's simply the best. Happy Anniversary.

Hubby of Mine

It's official we have grown up. Jason's new job has taken him.. literally. He wakes up at 8 and comes home around 8, last night was 10. You don't realize how really good your life is until something changes it. Our jobs were a bit different from the worlds, we picked our hours to work and then we would go rock climbing, that was our life. We rock climbed about 4 to 5 times a week then go eat fish tacos and now I'm having withdrawals...and it was good while it lasted.

My two weeks off consisted of dreaming of rock climbing with the boy. 5 times is turning into 2 times a week which is nothing to complain about, we just have some adjusting to do right now. I do have to say we are happy and a little more content right now. We don't have a perfect marriage because we aren't perfect people and that is good enough for me. He makes me laugh everyday, he pushes me a lot because he knows I can do it even when I think I can't. I'm grateful for the boy who is working his butt off right now and doing so much for our little family.

Happy Friday.

Jas

To the Hubby..
rock climbing august 2010
I feel that I haven't expressed enough love to the hubby these last couple of weeks. It's amazing how people get so busy, so wrapped up in their routine that I feel that I have neglected some love towards this boy of mine. We've been eating a lot of pb & j's, breakfast burritos and cereal and he's been more than happy. He's been working a lot and never complains about that. He comes to my yoga class and sits right in the front, He has been so patient with me when I have lost patience with myself & still makes me laugh every single day. I'm not the first to admit that marriage can be hard, but every single morning I'm grateful for my hubby. I'm grateful that he leaves the hot towel on the radiator for me and leaves that last sip of dr pepper for me.

Sala Verde

Thank you for the warm wishes. Our anniversary was pretty great. After teaching 6 classes, Jason prepared vegetarian salsa verde soup that he whipped up with all fresh ingredients ..it was delicious and among our top meals. Jason has been the greatest and is so patient with me as I have been busy working and getting ready for our boutique. Jas even spent many days this month teaching me how to silk screen and stayed up pretty late to do the finishing touches which you all will see at the boutique. I have been so blessed with this boy of mine. Happy Weekend

Anniversary

Jason and I have been together for about 7 years. Today is our 2 year anniversary and I must say, I have loved every little minute of it. I have married a guy who makes me laugh every single day, who is thoughtful, caring and pretty amazing at everything he does. I have loved sharing my life with someone who knows everything about me...flaws and all and still loves me. I still get butterflies in my stomach and I still get excited when he walks in the door. I must say I'm a pretty happy wife. I've found the right one for me.

Happy Anniversary Jason.

Rock Climbing & Jason

Memorial weekend started with rock climbing and ended with rock climbing. I'm sure lovin' this little picture of the boy. It doesn't surprise me that he's pretty good at rock climbing and being pretty cute doing it. I had such a fun weekend shared with a lot of family and being outside. More pictures to come. Happy Monday!
