Hello Adventure with Spellbinders

Hi friends! I hope you all had a great week! Do you have any fun plans for this weekend? We are getting ready for a charity trivia night! I doubt we'll win, but we're looking forward to fun evening together with friends.

I have a card to share with you today that features the Adventure Time Snapshot Etched Dies from Spellbinders. These dies are part of the Scenic Snapshots Collection.

I used a bunch of Lawn Fawn cardstock to create this card including Noble Fir, Blue Jay, Narwhal, Chocolate Bar, and Pixie Dust sparkle cardstock for the snow capped mountains. The sky is spritzed with some Liquid Stardust and the grass has flecks of black ink. To add some extra dimension, I added the pine trees to the scene with foam tape. Here's a closer look at the scene:

I hope this inspires you to create some fun adventure cards! My sons favorite part is that little campfire and I really like those tiny stars.

Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you have a great weekend! :)

Spellbinders Large Die of the Month

Hi everyone and Happy New Year! I'm usually in bed before midnight, so I'm a little tired today, haha!

I have a few cards to share with you today that feature the large die of the month from Spellbinders!

This die set is so cute and includes a lot of great elements that are perfect for Valentine's Day cards.  I paired the die cuts with some patterned paper from Lawn Fawn to create a fun, floral card. The sentiment looks so pretty cut in gold glitter cardstock! And it's so fun to create cards made entirely from die cuts!

And I really like how easy it is to create the floral branches. I also used different shades of cardstock from Lawn Fawn for the flowers, branches, and bow. Here's a close up on the card:

I also created another card set with the large die of the month set. Another really cute element in this die set is the wrapped flower bouquet!

The bouquet is die cut from patterned paper and it includes score lines to make it very easy to fold! I added a pink bow to the bouquet, then added some flowers and leaves inside. To give the flowers more detail, I added a drop of Nuvo clear drops to the center of the flower.

I took a piece of pink cardstock and splattered it with Worn Lipstick distress oxide ink. Then, I glued the bouquet in place, stamped a sentiment from the Sentimental Words stamp set, and finished the card by adding a few clear sequins. I really like how this card turned out, so I created another one with a birthday theme!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day and enjoy the first day of the new year! :)

Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month

Hi everyone! I hope you had a nice weekend! I'm excited to share a few projects with you today that feature the December Card Kit of the Month from Spellbinders! Here's a look at the items included in this month's kit:

The kit includes so many fun items! I really like how there is a variety of items that you can use including cardstock, patterned paper, a stamp set, die set, stickers, and quite a few different embellishments.

For my first card, I used the stamp set to create a fun and colorful card!

I started by stamping the three jars onto white cardstock. Then, I created a mask for the jar by stamping the jar onto a piece of scrap paper and cutting out the inside of the jar. I lightly taped the mask to the jars and stamped the different stars inside the jars. I used my Copic markers to color the stars and lids. For the jar in the middle, I stamped the sentiment in black ink and the snowflakes in Mermaid ink from Lawn Fawn. I also added a few enamel dots and a twine bow, which are also included in the card kit!

I trimmed a piece of patterned paper and attached it to a card base, and then attached the jars with foam tape. Here's a close up on the jars.

For my next card, I created a clean and simple card with the metal dies, glitter stickers and stamp set!

I started by attaching a piece of patterned paper to a white A2 sized card base. Then, I cut a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller than the card base. I arranged the gold glitter stickers to the middle of the card and also stamped the "holiday" part of the stamp set above the joy letters. I used the metal dies to cut the flower and branches from Raspberry and Noble Fir cardstock from Lawn Fawn. The  branches are attached with glue and the flower is attached with a foam tape. I finished the card by adding a twine bow along the top. The glitter stickers are so pretty!

This last card features the metal dies that are included in the set! How cute is that polar bear!?

I created a long top fold card from a piece of white cardstock. The background is created by ink blending Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky Distress Oxide inks and spritzing it with water. I also cut the snowflakes from Peacock and Mermaid cardstock and attached them with glue to the background. I used another piece of white cardstock to cut a hillside and attached that to the card base.

The trees are cut from Noble Fir, Cilantro, and Paper Bag cardstock, and the sentiment is cut from Black Licorice cardstock. The polar bear is cut from the cardstock that is included in the kit. It's so cute that the die adds details to the polar's fur! Here's another look at the card:

I hope this has given you some inspiration for the cards that you can create with this kit! I can't wait to see what everyone creates with their kit. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great week! :)

Spellbinders Layered Butterflies

Hi everyone! I hope you had a nice week! Daylight saving really messed with my kid's sleep schedules, but I think they're finally adjusted to the new time. Whew!

I have a colorful card to share with you today that features the new clear stamps from Spellbinders!

I'm so honored to be able to play with these new products, because they're so cute! For this card, I used the Layered Butterflies and stamped them in some colorful inks! The inks for the butterflies are all from Lawn Fawn - Peachy Keen, Ballet Slippers, Lemonade, Sunflower, Freshly Cut Grass, Celery Stick, Forget-me-not, Mermaid, Grape Soda, and Fresh Lavender. I first stamped the butterflies onto white cardstock in the lighter shade, then stamped the second layer in a darker ink, added a few details with a white gel pen, and then fussy cut them out.

To create the background, I ink blended Distress Oxides inks onto Bristol smooth cardstock  (Tumbled Glass, Broken China, and Stormy Sky) and spritzed it with water. I trimmed the inked panel to fit onto an A2 sized card base. The sentiment is from the new Sentimental Words set and is stamped in black ink. I really like the bold, script sentiments included in that set! The butterflies are attached with glue dots and slightly curved so that they look like they're flying. I finished the card by adding a few clear sequins and stars.

Check out the rest of the new stamps at Spellbinders! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend! :)
