Floral Sending Hugs Card

Hi everyone! I'm back again to share another card inspired by the Spring Card Camp 2 class by Online Card Classes.

This card is inspired by the Day 13 lesson which shared a spotlight die cut technique. It's a fun way to create backgrounds and to use dies in a different way.

I started by cutting flowers from white cardstock with the Flower Power die set. The set is retired, but this technique would look really cute with the Little Flowers or Fab Flowers dies as well. Once I had the flowers cut out, I arranged them onto a piece of white cardstock that was cut with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die. After I figured out where I wanted the flowers to go, I glued them in place. Then, the fun part! I used distress oxide inks to ink blend the white cardstock and the flowers that were glued in place. It creates a soft, white border around the flowers and it looks so pretty!

Once I was satisfied with the ink blending, I spritzed it with water and dried it with a paper towel. I attached the panel to a white card base and added the sentiment from the Big Scripty Words set. The "sending you" is from the Reveal Wheel Circle Sentiments stamp set. I finished by adding a few clear sequins to the flowers and background.

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you all have a great day! :)

Hello, You're Awesome Card

Hi everyone! I have another card to share today that was inspired by the Day 2 lesson for the Online Card Class Spring Card Camp! This is my first card class and it's been fun to participate in the lessons when I get a chance. After watching todays lesson, my kids and I wanted to give the technique a try, so we used Distress Oxide inks to make a striped card!

My card features a ton of different oxide colors and they are all linked below. I used low tack tape to mask the background and ink blended the stripes. For a few of the stripes, I stamped some extra details with an older Simon Says Stamp set, Flower Friend. After ink blending the background, I die cut the panel with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die from Lawn Fawn and stamped the sentiment from Hello Bluebird's Cheery Greetings stamp set. Here's a closer look at the card:

Thanks for visiting! Hope you all have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Stitched Pond Frame

Hi everyone! I hope that you're all having a good week. It's time again for another Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week! Yay!

I'm sharing a card today that features the Stitched Pond Frame die along with the Stitched Pond to create a fun, shaped card.

I folded a card base from white card stock and used the Stitched Pond die to die cut the shaped card. Then, I used the Stitched Pond Frame to die cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock. I attached the frame to the card base, and I used Distress Oxide ink to ink blend the water. I spritzed it with water to add some extra detail. I die cut the other images and colored them with Distress Oxide inks. Then, I attached them with glue or foam tape. The sentiment is stamped in black ink from the Offset Sayings: Birthday stamp set. I finished by adding googly eyes to the frogs, because googly eyes makes everyone smile! :)

I have more inspiration to share this week, so I'll be back again tomorrow with another card. Don't forget to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Foursquare Backdrop

Good morning friends! Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues with a look at the Foursquare Backdrop die!

This die is so fun and is great to use to create smaller scenes on cards. To create this card, I used images from the Ho-Ho-Holidays and Holiday Helpers stamp sets. The first scene is Mrs. Claus getting Santa fed for his long trip (haha!), then the elves are handing off the gifts that they worked on, the gifts then get passed to Santa to check off of his list, and then Santa flies away to deliver the gifts.

The sentiment was created by white heat embossing onto black cardstock and die cut with the Everyday Sentiment Banner. The outline of the foursquare backdrop and the sentiment are attached with foam tape and the rest of the images are attached with glue. For the background, I ink blended a blue sky with Faded Jean and Broken China distress oxide inks, stamped a few snowflakes with the Faked Jean ink, and added a snowy hill cut with the Stitched Hillside Border die.

Thanks for stopping by today! There's more inspiration on the Lawn Fawn blog and you can enter to win some new goodies, so make sure you check it out. I hope you have a great day!
