The Inn at Pound Ridge by Jeans-George

The Inn at Pound Ridge by Jeans-George is a casually elegant restaurant ensconced in the picturesque town of Pound Ridge, New York. Here, Jean‑Georges cultivates a truly seasonal, farm-to-table cuisine, with ingredients sourced from the Hudson Valley and New England, whenever possible. Constructed in 1833 as a residence and serving later as an inn, the building has been painstakingly renovated to preserve as many of the original materials as possible, including four working fireplaces.

Surveyor

Surveyor is the new restaurant that replaced Maialino Mare and celebrates classic American standards in a supper house setting. Closest Metro is Navy Yard.

Newland

Newland is the newest concept from Chef Andrew Markert of Beuchert's Saloon. Located in the former Montmarte space, Newland is "convergance of both where I’ve been and where I’m going", according to Chef Markert and features a tasting menu that tells the story of the pivotal points in his path as a chef. Closest Metro is Eastern Market. 

The Duck & The Peach

The Duck & The Peach is a New American concept located in the heart of DC's Capitol Hill neighborhood. Inspired by fresh, laid-back Northern California cuisine with a dose of cozy New England comfort, the menu is small yet features high-quality ingredients.  Closest Metro is Eastern Market.

Senia

Senia is a neighborhood restaurant with a sense of place, weaving Hawaii’s bounty of ingredients as much as possible into the menu. The name is a play on the word “xenia”, the ancient Greek ideology of hospitality where strangers and friends alike were treated with the same regard.  Located next door to The Pig and the Lady, we made reservations for our last dinner during this trip to Oahu.

Early Mountain Vineyards

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Early Mountain is a pristine 350 acre property surrounded by rolling hills and pastoral farms. In 2016, it was voted the number one tasting room in the nation by USA Today in its 10 Best Readers Choice contest. "Virginia through and through", we visited the tasting room to enjoy a couple flights with lunch with a stunning view of the foothills. The restaurant menu focuses on seasonal produce from local farms and was a lovely way to kick off our celebratory wedding anniversary weekend.

The Dabney

Chef Jeremiah Langhorne serves Mid-Atlantic cuisine at The Dabney - a rustic spot set in a former row house in Shaw's Blagden Alley. "Dedicated to the flora, fauna and fermented products of the Mid-Atlantic" the restaurant showcases locally foraged and farmed ingredients from across the region with design elements from the chef's hometown of Charleston, SC. A Rake's Progress

At A Rake's Progress, located in the Line Hotel in Adams Morgan, James Beard Award–winning chef Spike Gjerde cooks what he sources from Mid-Atlantic farms and waters.  Closest Metro is Woodley Park-Adams Morgan.

Plume

As the recent recipient of one star from the prestigious Michelin Guide and the only Forbes five star rated restaurant in DC, Plume at The Jefferson hotel serves as an elegant backdrop to the artistry of the award-winning culinary team. We sat at a cozy nook as we savored classic dishes using traditional techniques and seasonal ingredients that are inspired by the harvest from Thomas Jefferson's kitchen gardens at Monticello. Trummer's on Main

Set amongst the charming setting of Clifton, Virginia, Trummer's On Main is among the region's most outstanding dining experiences. Victoria and Stefan Trummer became the first New York restaurateurs to open a dining destination in Clifton. Located on Main Street in a historic town born out of the Civil War, Trummer's On Main is the creation of the husband and wife team, combining "small town charm with fabulous food and attentive service generally found in big food cities."

Black Bear Bistro & Brick Oven

Black Bear Bistro & Brick Oven located in Warrenton, VA offers the best of farm fresh local and organic ingredients with old-fashioned family value, and generous portions of great food at very reasonable pricing. All dishes are prepared to order using the finest produce, herbs, cheeses, breads and meats. Meals are complemented by excellent Virginia wines plus a great selection of Virginia brewed draft beer selections.  We stopped in for lunch on this 90 degree day.
