The end is near

Hello everyone,

Today I have an art journal spread for you. I thought I'd try something different by not painting the whole pages but leaving some white space which is really difficult for me. I have filmed the process so if you rather watch the movie then click the link below.

I quite like how this turned out, even though I am not a big 'white spacer' !

Here's a detail photo of Mona, she's up to no good !

Here you can see another detail.....

I have used the following stamps for these pages :

Thank you so much for stopping by today !

Night owl

Hello, Nataliya is here :)
At the end of each year, I have a problem with purchasing a new date book for scrapbooking. This year I decided to make it myself.
And now I have date book, specially for night owls :)

To create the cover I used 7Dots paper (Domestic Gooddes Collection),VLVS! stamps, Sakura of America Micron, gauze, stencil, paint, ink and medium.

Moon - the eternal companion of owls :)

And here is the main character  - owl. I colored it with alcohol ink.

First case has already been done!

My VLVS! for this project:
Moon Circle 1 3/4 x 1 1/2
Washi Reverse Grid Background 1 1/4 x 5 1/2
Washi Grid Background 1 1/4 x 5 1/2
Stars 2 x 2 1/4

Have a nice owl's night!

scrapbook slash calender with 7 dots studio

Hi Hermine here. This time we teamed up with 7 Dots Studio to work with their gorgeous papers. I had a hard time because the paper is so beautiful as is that you can't enhance it, so I tried to compliment it by using the gorgeous flower stamps and try to match the colours with Lyra crayons. I made a scrapbook slash calender (this is on my wish-list for a long time) so every other spread is a month of the year and every other one is meant to use photo's that reflects that particular month.

These are the things I used from 7 Dots Studio

Made the cover with grey board covered with paper, put gesso on it and sprayed with Dylussions. Then I used the tickets from 7 Dots Studio, stamped the Fris ChamairisLatifolia 18733 with Lyra crayons and water on a piece of paper. Used the Zutter bind-it-all to turn it into a booklet.

I don't know why blogger turns this photo on its side ;o(

Spread to put photo's on, stamped the Fris ChamairisLatifolia 18733 with colours matching the paper.

I used TH alteration die for the months

Calender spread

Used the pointed pen tip 18793 to enhance this spread

Another spread using  Melanthium Vulgare  18729

I couldn't help myself, I like to play with my Lyra crayons hahaha. So I made a few cards as well, using the technique from my previous tutorial, but not spraying water but misting it on the stamp. I put some colours on with Lyra crayons, then misted some water above the stamp, then stamped it on a card, only misting water again and stamped a second one, did this a third time on another card, you can see the colour is lighter everytime you stamp but still looking great.

used materials:

pointed pen tip 18793
Melanthium Vulgare  18729
Halicabus Judicus Arborescens 18737

Do you believe in fairies?

Hello, Nataliya here :)
I want to ask you, do you believe in fairies? I believe! Because one of them moved in my altered-book:

And this is just the beginning of our history!

My fairy dressed in a shiny attire, as it should to all the fairies:)

"Home" for fairies I made from 7Dots paper (Domestic Gooddes Collection). And here is the fairy -

Be true

Hi guys.. Karen here with you again, Hope you have had a wonderful week.. Today It's  my turn to share with you my swap tag made using some amazing 7 Dots Studio .

I love all of their paper lines and find it so hard to pick which ones to use.  But for this one I've decided to use the reverse side of Deep Water from the 9th Wave collection.

- the colours in this line are just stunning!

I started off by covering my tag with the Deep Water paper.. I used the top left hand section to cover my tag so that I could get some of the more plain and the grungier sections of the paper on the one tag.

My next step was to ink up some VLVS Rubber...

Coffee Ring Stain 2 3/4 x 2 1/4

stamp with Distress Ink, I used both Walnut Stain and Black Soot at once to give it a bit depth. I then did the same with the Chicken Wire

Chicken Wire 3 3/4 x 4 1/2

stamp, and randomly stamped both on the tag. I also stamped Be True

Be True 3/4 x 1 1/2

on a piece of the Deep water paper the same way to use in the ornate frame. The ornate frame has been painted with Antique Linen Distress crackle paint, and inked with a bit of black soot distress ink when dry.

The next thing I did was of course to sew around the edges with my trusty sewing machine.. To finish off I added in a fussy cut butterfly coloured with distress markers ,some wire and twine, a metal corner, and number and some gorgeous Star Confetti from UmWow Studio..

So don't forget to drop on by the 7 Dots Studio Blog for a visit!

I'll see you a bit later in the month, Thanks so much for stopping by today..

Happy Stamping xxx
