You are loved envelope mini book

I hope you had a fun day yesterday with Superbowl ( Yay my team won :) and had lots of yummy things to eat.  Or---- like me you got a few crafty things done early and did both of them.  How fun was that.

Today i have another share for a mini book idea that is one of my all time favorites.  I did this one for a trip to Disneyland once and thought how fun it would be for Valentines to add love coupons and maybe a few fun gift cards for ice cream and the movies.  It's easy to make and you can do them in all kinds of themes... even wedding and babies would be fun books to make.

For my book i used 3 of Beccas dies from the last collection and did some layering on the front which was really fun to do.  I started with the Candlewick Rectangle for the back and over that i added the Candlewick Petticoats and tucked under the bottom i added a piece of the white Candlewick Doily Border.  It all went together so pretty and the papers really show them off.

And here you can see the envelopes on the inside.  You simply use as many as you like and glue them together with the flaps so that they can fold and then have fun decorating each of them on the fronts and the backs.  I used a new paper line from Echo Park with the stickers to make it go quick.  For my decorative piece on the bottom of each i added a cut/embossed piece of white Candlewick Doily Border.  It makes it so pretty and feminine.

And here is the inside of the book with a few of the envelope fold outs so that you can see them.  I used 6 envelopes on mine and could have used more but this is all i had time for so it worked out great.

To make the outside cover of the book you simple measure the piece of 12x12 to the envelopes stacked up with a ruler and then score it on a Scor-pal and fold it over the insides.  And don't forget to leave a flap to close it.   I used a small piece of velcro to close my book and keep everything all tucked up good inside.

I hope i inspired you to get out some fun papers from your stash and grab a few dies and make something fun.  Have a really special week ... Hugs... Teresa

Amazing Paper Grace January Die of the Month Blog Hop

Who doesn't smile when they get flowers.  Today we're giving you a way to present a bouquet to whomever your heart desires.  The January Die of the Month is a Pop Up 3D Vignette Bouquet.  It's one of those show stopper pieces that folds down flat to fit into an envelope but it's right at home living on a desk.

Even if 3D is not your thing, these beauties can also be used on flat cards and just in time for Valentine's Day.  A bouquet of flowers or a bouquet of hearts - what's your sweetheart getting this year?   Your panel can be decorative, textured or simply a sentiment.

Today I used my dies with some new Valentine papers to create this fun whimsical card to give away.  The patterned papers worked really well with it and the bouquet came out so pretty with the flowers and the roses mixed together.  There are so many ways you can use this die and you will see today just how fun it is.

My Project Today:

Here is a closer look of my card.  I thought it would be fun to do a card where the beautiful bouquet is centered on the card but with a bit of a twist.  So i folded the card but then cut out about 2 1/2 inches out of the center and added printed papers to cover both the top and bottom pieces.  To keep the bouquet solid i cut a piece of clear acetate to go between the two front pieces on the back side and then glued on my white basket piece on the front in the center.

The flowers i created by cutting 1 med. green, 1 pink and 1 smaller pink flower that you get in the set and after gently folding them with tweezers and gluing them together-- i added the matching smaller roses to the centers of each.  You also get another die in this set that has 3 pink hearts so i cut the larger size and filled in the spaces between the flowers with them.  It looks really cute!  And of course the sentiment sticker comes in the paper collection set and i added that with 3 D foam dots so that it would stand out a bit under the flowers.

A little bit of love to brighten your day...

Today i have another fun share for a quick card to make for Valentines
day this Saturday.  Spellbinders has lots of beautiful heart dies you can
use but there is a new one Heart and Flutter and i did both cards and
the hearts for the straws too.  I kept them simple for the most part and
i will give you all the dies i used under each of the photos.

So my first card i started with one of my favorite embossing folders called
Framed Canvas to create that fun dotted design and edge.  Then i cut
and embossed three of the hearts: one in pink, one in white
and one in grey. I glued those as you see and tied a ribbon around
the center before i pop dotted the pink one on.  Then i tied a
pretty bow and added a pink flower that matched from RRR.

And next i thought how fun to cut and emboss these little
cuties and add them to some colored straws that i got.
These were super quick and easy to do.

And lastly this was fun because i made my backround
with the grey paper and embossed it and also cut
out the heart.  Then i adhered a piece of clear acetate in
behind the heart so that i could glue the white one to it.
This way when i popped up the grey piece on the card it
will act as a window for it.  Then i just added a piece of ribbon
with a pretty bow and a pink heart from the basic SB Heart
die set that i have in my stash.  This one was fun to play with
and I really love all the details in this new die.

And I have some exciting news to share too... I have been on
the Cardabilties Team before and put my ring in the hat again for
a possible place and i made it in again for this term!!  I am so happy
to be with all the other fun ladies from around the world again
and look forward to creating with Karan Gerbers sketches!!  :)

That's all for today and thanks for stopping over.
Have a wonderful crafty day everyone :)

Heart Box for Valentines..

Today i have a fun little share for you that i did to put some special
candies that i am going to make up for Valentines.  I love to make
my own little paper boxes with my Scor-pal and this one is a super easy
4 x 4 box with a matching top that is decorated with pretty hearts on it.

I found some really cute papers moving all my stuff last week and
love the simple heart shapes on the paper.  I also had the chipboard scalloped
hearts that were perfect from Want2Scrap that matches the Spellbinders dies
i used. The SB die is called Classic Scalloped Heart and having the die
match the chipboard made it super easy to do.  The bling is also from
Want2Scrap and the ribbons are from Really Reasonable Ribbon that
you can see here. These are fun to do and put in a few doilies with some
giant homemade cookies instead of the candy for your friends.  It's nice
to send a little something to show them how much you care.

That's all for today and thanks for stopping over :)

Big Hugs and Smiles...Teresa

It's almost Valentines Day

I have two quick cards to share today to inspire you all
to make up something to give out for Valentines Day this friday...

My first card is made with an image from
Lily of the Valley stamps in England.  I think
these cute little characters are my favorite and I used
the New Spellbinders Elegant Oval set for this one and the
With Love card below.  The papers are from Doodlebug's
Valentine 6x6 pad and match perfectly.  And the flowers
and Want2Scrap pearls I used on the side are from my stash.

This card was supposed to be for the Verve challenge
but I am a little late.  I still love their stamps though
and made this one to give for Valentines.  I love the
sentiment on this... the lettering is so pretty. Oh and the
flowers are from Prima but you can always make your
own with the new flower dies we have coming out
from Spellbinders that you can see here

That's all for today..I am going out to do a little
bit of gardening while the weather is good.

Thanks for stopping over to see what's new and I
hope that you all have a very sweet and wonderful
Valentines day with those you love...

Hugs and Kisses Card

Hi Everyone can you believe that it is Friday already.
Today is our Card Club up at Scrap N Yap and I
have some really fun cards for the girls to do this month.
It should be lots of fun and we are working alot with ideas to
use white and solid colored cardstock to make cards so my
card today is a good example to share with all of you.

Since we are only a week away from Valentines I used
one of my favorite heart dies from Spellbinders
called Lace Hearts that you can see below

I love this set because you have so many options with
it.  All the pieces cut seperate and you can layer them
to make really beautiful projects to give away or keep
to decorate your own house.  My card is basically made
in white cardstock and I used just a bit of peachy pink
to set off the intricate details of the white in the dies.

I also did another project posted on the Spellbinders Blog
yesterday using parts of the same die.  I made an Easel Box
to fill with candies for Valentines and it was really fun to
create and I love the colors and how it came out.

If you have time be sure and stop over on the blog and see it
and let me know what you think... Have a happy and
very crafty day everyone.....

New Gilded Life for Spellbinders

Now that the CHA show is over we can share lots of the fun
products that we have for Spellbinders and Gilded Life.
All this week I will have something new that I made
and lots of new cards for Valentines next week.  How exciting!!

My first project to share is a heart necklace that I made
with the small Heart Bezel in bronze. Each of the pieces
come with matching dies to cut out the insides so I cut
and embossed a piece of the heart die with premium craft foil
and then embossed it again with the French Script Texture plates.
Then I added rhinestones all around the outside edges
and filled it in with Glossy Accents.  This is faster than resin
and will dry overnite so that you can wear it the next day.

To attach my heart to the chain I created a twisted loop
that I attached to the chain with jump rings.

I had some really pretty red beads so I created the chain
but cutting small pieces of bronze 20 gauge wire from Beadalon
and attaching them together with Beadalong chain nose pliers and
my nylon jaw pliers.  I added chain on both ends
with bronze jump rings and a clasp to close it.

I love hearts of all kinds and this was really fun and easy
to make in an evening.  I hope you like it and be sure
and go check out all the other beautiful things available
to buy and stop in tomorrow for another new project!!

Happy Monday....

Butterbees Necklace

I have another project to share with you all with some of the
beautiful products that Monique sent me from the Butterbee Scraps store.
Today I am sharing a necklace with one of my favorite Locket pieces
and lots of silver and turquoise beads.

So my favorite color is turquoise so it's no surprise I picked
this big beautiful silver heart locket set and some turquoise beads to
create my necklace with.  I really love all the details in this
locket set and they had the perfect extras to make it easy to do.

So to start with you will need these things from
the Butterbee Scraps website:

and you will need Silver 18 and 20 gauge wire, 4mm silver beads
6/0 E Beads in turquoise, bead stringing wire,
Beadalon wire cutters, nylon jaw pliers and chain nose pliers.

Start by cutting pieces of wire about 3 inches long and looping
the end and stringing on the beads as shown and looping the other end.
You will need 4 of these for each side.

For the front make about a 1/2" triple jump ring to hang the
locket, flower and key on in the center.  Attach jump rings to each
of the charms and use your pliers to add them to the ring.
Add extra little rhinestones from the store too if desired like i did.

For the next part take your needle nose pliers and twist
the 20 gauge silver wire to create 2 triple loops side by side.
These are going between the beads that you created.
Attach them together with your pliers.  Next you are going
to string a piece of bead stringing wire through one of the ends
and start adding about 3" of beads.  Tie and knot the closure
on one end and slip the leftover string back through the
beads and trim.  Do the same for the other side of the necklace.

I hope you liked my new necklace and be sure and stop over
for the sale going on in the Butterbee Scraps website today.

Have a wonderful day,
Teresa

Valentine cards with flowers

Hi Everyone I have a quick and easy project to do
for Valentines today using these cute little flowers from
Butterbee Scraps called Bronze Filigree Elements #CAP041B.
They have lots of uses but I decided they looked more like
flowers yesterday and would be great to use as the center point
for my project to fill inside of a heart for my card.

Since they were Bronze to start with I painted them with
a new paint from Deco Art that is a multi surface satin paint
and i did about 3 coats and let them dry between each.

It dries really quick so the project goes fast.

I added rhinestones from the shop with adhesive and then glued
them on a doily that I cut from a Spellbinders die.  They
fit really well actually.  I wanted it simple so I just used a
matted backround with pink and tied a pretty white bow for the bottom.

I really like it and hope you will try it too.. It's amazing the colors
of paint that they have so you can paint your Butterbee Scraps
projects in all the colors of the rainbow!  Sounds great to me :)

(Here is the caps below so that you can see them before their painted)

Happy Wednesday and happy crafting to you all!
