Cardabilities sketch #124 is up today...

There is another fun sketch up today for all of you to have fun and create with
on the Cardabilities blog and it's a super good one.  There are lots of fun ideas
from all the designers and i decided to go with the circle theme and kind of
tweek it a little and add just a few more...

So to start i used 2 different prints for both sides of the card and
matted each of them in the dark aqua.  Then i fussy cut some of the
circles printed in one of the papers and layed them down the center.
Then i cut one of the diecuts from Spellbinders in the ivory print
that matches the paper and put it in the center.  And lastly on top of
all of that i die cut the flowers in yellow and added some pretty bling
in the centers of each and stamped my sentiment with a Papertray Ink
stamp in Versafine ink to match.  As always it was fun to make and
I love the colors in this set.

Here is the sketch for you to play along and also a closeup of
the dies and other fun things on my card below.

And we have a wonderful Sponsor this month from Crafty City
so be sure and stop over and check them out too.

Have a really amazing day :)  Teresa

Alice in Wonderland

Today i have a super cut but overdue post that i did for Crafty Secrets.
I love Alice and all of her crazy antics in the movie and have a huge
collection of things so when i saw this gorgeous paper set i new i had
to make something to put my goodies in.

For my projects i used the Creative Scraps called Wonderland Tea and it
has lots of fun bits of Alice in Wonderland all over it to use.  I also printed
out my own papers to cover it from the Creating with Vintage Patterns and
they all matched just perfectly with the images.

Here is a closeup of the tags that i used... they are so cute!
And i used lots of fun flowers from my stash to decorate the top.

And of course what tea party is complete without a quick fun
invite to have them all come over and enjoy the goodies you make!

That's all for today and thank you so much for taking the time
to stop over... have a wonderful crafty day :)

New Victorian Cards with Kaisercraft...

Happy Monday to all of you and i am so happy that you stopped over today
to see what's new.  It's been a really busy week for me at Disneyland and a
really fun one with all the festivities going on with the 60th celebration. The
parades and fireworks are amazing and as always all the wonderful and sweet
guests that come to have fun really make it great for all of us.

So between all the fun--- i had a chance to get a few cards done with a new paper pad
that i bought so i wanted to share them with all of you.

I really love the papers for this one with all the deep greens and the pretty gibson
girl oval that i put in the middle.  The new Oval Floral die from Spellbinders was
the perfect lacy touch to layer around the outside and i added a few pearls from
Want 2 Scrap and the flower is from Ruby Rock-it. I know the perfect person to
give this one too and i think she is really going to like it :)

And then i got all inspired to do this other card with this cute paper with the
clocks on it.  The tag that comes in the set was perfect to use with it and i layered
a few other dies and popped them up with 3D Foam dots.  It really makes all
the pretty layers pop and the papers are so pretty and vintage looking.  I love thi
one alot.  Oh and the paper pad is from Kaisercraft and is called Betsy's Couture
and there are lots of tags and borders and other fun things in it to use.

That's all for today to share and as always thank you for taking the time
to stop over and see what's new.  I so love being inspired by all the
amazing things that all of you share each and every day from your heart too!

Fun Tag with Tsukineko and stencils...

Getting messy with fun products from Tsukineko and Crafty Secrets is
a really fun thing to do.  At the show this year i was lucky enough to
stumble up these neat embossing gels from Tsukineko and thought i would
mix it up a little and make a fun tag to share with all of you....

To get started i used a huge tag from my stash and a Prima Stencil.  I used a
small spatula and spread out the CM Metallics in layers over the tag and then
head embossed it so that it would set.  Then a took a little ink in the colors
that i have below and distressed it around the edges and over the dots
to make them pop more.  This is a super neat product and I can't wait to
try it again for something else real soon.

The tag i used from Crafty Secrets is from the Summertime Images
and Journal notes book and the Friendship words is from the Words of Heart
book called Celebrations of Joy.  Both have super cute images in them and
i loved this to make a gift tag with.

The flowers i cut with a Spellbinders die called Bitty Blossoms
and inked them to match the circles.  And to finish it i used pretty
seam binding ribbon from RRR and a bit of string jute in ivory.

I hope you like it and thanks so much for stopping by...

RRR Patriotic Challenge for today..

This month on RRR we have lots of fun projects up using our gorgeous new
ribbons with a patriotic theme and it's been really fun creating so far.  Today
i used those colors but did my project with a slight twist and created my new
summer journal using lots of bits of ribbon and lace and some Ruby Rock-it papers.

So for this project i found this neat journal covered in burlap and I used a
few pieces of Ruby Rock-it papers to start the top.  Then i tied on a huge piece of
cream mesh ribbon.  And then i glued on this neat wooden sentiment over it.
The letters and numbers i found in my stash of letters so that part was easy.

and for the side... i love lots of ribbons and charms so i picked some
of my favorites and tied them on with these neat little pins and attached
it to the top side of the book.  Now i have lots of markers to mark special
things on the inside that i really loved to do this summer.

That's it for today but be sure and check back again as always and don't
forget to make something fun to link up with us on the Challenge blog.

Hope you have a really fun and crafty day!!

New Cardabilites sketch #123 is up today ...

I have to admit when you have someone in mind and a great sketch things
seem to go together alot better and alot faster.  I have an amazing co worker
that i did this card for and i tweeked the sketch just a little with they way things
overlayed but i really am happy with the way this came out.

I just got a bunch of brand new things for a Disney book
and there was lots to spare for a card so i picked lots of fun little bits and
stickers and this is what i came up with.  The papers are from Simple Stories
(so, so cute) and the cute little Mickey Mouse is EK Success.  I really love how
all the reds, yellows and aqua go together so well in this set.  It's amazing.

And here is the sketch so that you can play along too!

We also have 2 amazing sponsors for this challenge so be sure
and check out their blogs and a chance to win if you enter!

It's a Patriotic Blog Hop for RRR this month...

It's that time of the month again for our RRR Blog hop and it's going to be fun!
The colors and ribbons for this month are so fun, bright and easy to use.
But i have lots to share today so we better get started ...

But first...If you started at the beginning of the hop then you should have
arrived from Karens Blog and wow what a cute project she made....

My first project is decorating this lantern that i picked up.  We love to stay out
late in the summer and barbecue and have candles lit for extra light.  So to start
i wanted to do a little something fun for the candle too so i found
this tall white candle taper to fit inside and wrapped thin natural twine around it
and added a few stars with die cut papers to make it more patriotic looking.

Here is  a better close-up of the candle and i also made a quick banner with all
the ribbons and a simple cut out banner that i bought and made a mat of blue
to match the ribbons for the back of it.  I love all the bright prints and colors of this!

And for the top ribbons on the lantern i tied a big huge bow with the
wire edge natural ribbon and then layered on both the
red diamond satin ribbon and the bright blue check
ribbon to make it kind of country backyard barbecue styled.

And what barbecue is complete without lots of friends over to enjoy all the good
things that you make, so i created this invite to send out to our friends.  It's made with
the new 6x6 Doodlebug patriotic picnic pad and stickers.  The colors of this were a
perfect match with all the ribbons and it had the cutest things to use for it.

And yep... sometimes i just get carried away with inspiration and just have fun
so i also made this cute little patriotic bird and covered another candle for a
decoration on another table that i have.  For the candle i used paper to cover
the outside first and then added another layer of red jute ribbon over it.  Then I
tied some ivory jute string several times and tied it in a pretty bow.  The stars are
from the sticker sheet but you could also punch them out if you want to do lots
more to decorate other things at your party.

For this card i just layered all the pretty papers and matted them with white
to created a definition between all the layers.  Under the eagle sticker i used
a Spellbinders star die in both red and white to put him on.   I used red jute string
on the bow and finished it with a cute vintage button from my stash.  I really love
this one alot.  And it was super easy to do too.

And here is a share and the link to the new ribbon club assortment...

And now it's time to hop on over to Jenn's blog to see what is new and
inspiring from her.  Be sure and leave a comment for a chance to win
some of these beautiful ribbons for you.  I am going to share part of
my stash so that you can have some fun :)

Like the wings of a butterfly card...

I can't believe that it is Saturday already, the week has gone by so fast but
then i have got lots and lots of crafty things done too.  We had lots of rain
the last 2 days so it was perfect weather to stay inside and get lots done.

Today i have a card to share that i did with some of my Crafty Secrets stash
for this month.  I think my share day will be on Sat so be sure and check back
all month for some fun ideas with their products.

For my card today i chose to use the Pastel Paper Designs pack and
i created a pretty butterfly backround by cutting and embossing it with a
Spellbinders back round die.  Then i cut the light aqua paper with another
die called Captivating squares in ivory and cut my sentiment from the

And then I chalked inside the sentiment with pink to match and added tiny
flowers in ivory, mint and butterflies in pink paper to match at the bottom.

To add more aqua green i cut the smaller fancy square in the set
and made little corners that i tucked under the frame to set off the green.
It was so fun that i had lots of butterfly things in my stash to really make
all the papers and the sentiment work together.  I love when that happens.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Crafty Secrets Linky party today....

Today is a really fun day because it's my first post up for Crafty Secrets Design Team.
Whoo Hoo i am so excited to be picked for this team :)
I was not much of a digital designer since i worked at the store and could buy everything
i ever wanted but life changes that and i am totally sold on these fun images.  For all
of you from my blog they have both stamps, paper and images to use so the really
fun part is you can buy them or print out as many as you think you might need.  And
they are such amazing quality.  That is the part that really sold me :)

But to share a little i have a neat project that i made for a friend to give for Mother's
Day and it has space for a gift card and maybe a neat piece of jewelry in the top.

For my project i used the Pastel Paper Designs Pad filled with these amazing
crackle papers.  I first sanded my little box and then put a couple of coats of ivory
chalk paint on it sanding between each of them.  The i measured the sides and
cut the paper so that a small edge would show on it.  And of course i sanded
that too just to make it a little more shabby chic.

The top lily of the valley card comes from a beautiful set called Creative Scraps-
Little Blessings. And of course you can see below that i had to add lots of
flowers and a few Spellbinders dies in the mix.  It' was really fun and i can't
wait to fill it with special things and give it to my friend and surprise her.

Below is just a quick shot of the inside lid and the drawer.  For those i sand each part
and painted them too and then cut the rose papers in the set to line each of them.

Here is a list of supplies for my card and box:
*Pastel Paper Designs Pad

1/4 inch pink satin ribbon
