Very ordinary picture of less than ordinary bird, at Mungalla Station, Ingham. First thought, hybrid Little Egret (Egretta garzetta). But it is probably melanistic Little Egret. Here's hoping for more rarities this year.

Not such an ordinary picture
Very ordinary picture of less than ordinary bird, at Mungalla Station, Ingham. First thought, hybrid Little Egret (Egretta garzetta). But it is probably melanistic Little Egret. Here's hoping for more rarities this year.
