Your Next Stamp June Feature - Combine Stamps (Word Critter/Tea-rific)

Welcome to the June Your Next Stamp feature post. Each month the design team uses specific stamps, dies or themes to create projects that will hopefully inspire you.

You will want to check out the feature post each month at the YNS blog because in addition to inspiration, there is also a chance to WIN a stamp set of your choice.

This month our challenge was to use two or more stamps together and as many dies as we wanted. This was a fun challenge.

For this month's challenge, I used masking to create a scene with two of my stamp sets. The one set Tea-riffic is retired, however the Birthday Phoebe set has a set of books that could also work. The sweet cat is from the Word Critter: Cats and Dogs. I have used that critter set twice this month!

OTHER YNS Products: Word Critter: Cats and Dogs, Tea-rific (retired), Stitched RectangleFile Tab dieStitched Scallop Edge dieFirecracker Sparkly GumdropsYNS Ink (mocha, black olive)

Head over to the YNS blog to see all of the Design Team members sharing projects for this month's feature. Leave a comment on the blog post for the June Feature and you will have a chance to win a prize. One lucky crafter will WIN a YNS stamp set of their choice.

Have a happy day!!!!

Your Next Stamp December Sneak Peek (Coffee Right Meow)

It's the most wonderful time of the month.......

No, it's not that it's almost Christmas. It's that time that I get to share with you a little sneaky peeky at the December release for Your Next Stamp. Today if you head over to the YNS blog, you will see a full list of the design team members sharing projects today. So if you can wait for tomorrow's new release blog hop, and you just have to previews the December release, today is the day to do it. Don't worry this kind of peeking is allowed and won't put you on Santa's naughty list.

I have a little bit of a theme going on for the December YNS release. I am still working on a few Christmas gifts and this week I am finishing up a few more people on my nice list. For my preview project today, I am sharing a 5 x 8 inch notebook cover I made using the fun COFFEE RIGHT MEOW!

I am pretty sure COFFEE RIGHT MEOW, is one of my new YNS favourites. I am fairly sure this image is a mirror of me in the morning before my coffee. I also stamped up the fun COFFEE RINGS and added my "notes" title using the LETTER BOARD DIE and highlighted my sentiment using the FILE TAB die. The paper is Basic Grey Hipster.

I love the look of those great coffee splatters and rings. I used Ground Espresso Distress ink to ink all of the paper and to stamp out the coffee stains and sentiments.

Here is a look at the inside of the notepad cover. I created pockets for the pad of paper, so it can be replaced. I used the Coffee and Tea Cup Stack to decorate the inside.

Enjoy our little preview of the YOUR NEXT STAMP December release. Remember to check out all of the previews available from the DT. The complete list is on the YNS blog. Stamps and dies from the new release will be available tomorrow, Tuesday December 10th.

Stop back tomorrow, to join our December Release Blog Hop. There will be a lot of amazing projects to see and prizes to be won. You don't want to miss this release. On December 13th we also have our next DT dare and another chance to win a prize.

Your Next Stamp - September Feature

Welcome to the September YOUR NEXT STAMP feature post. Each month the design team posts creations to inspire you, using specific themes or stamps. This month our feature theme is SCHOOL IS COOL!

When I think of projects for school my first thoughts go to teacher gifts or holiday creations for classmates. One of my go to projects for my kids teachers is to create a set of thank you note cards. This year I also added a decorate box to hold the notes.

This box was used for a set of 12 note cards (with envelopes) and the box measures 6 x 4 3/4 x 1 3/4 inches.

I created a fun chalkboard effect on my box using the A'DORK'ABLE stamp set. To create this effect you stamp your image on black cardstock using Versamark ink, sprinkle white embossing powder and heat set. Using white pigment ink and a sponge whip around the outside of the image for a "chalk" effect.

Simple Stories Smarty Pants paper was perfect for this box. I decorated the box using a number of YNS dies including the APPLE DIE, LETTERBOARD, NOTEBOOK EDGE and FILE TAB.

Box Measurements:

The base of the box will be cut at 9 1/2 x 8 1/4 inches. Score your box at 1 3/4 inches, rotate the paper and repeat on all sides.

For the lid just add between 1/16 inches to 1/8 of an inch to size of base measurement. Again score at 1 3/4 inches on all sides.

The set of thank you cards inside the box are a simply designed card measuring 4.25 x 5.5.
I again used the APPLE die, along with the CIRCLE, STITCHING MARK CIRCLE and FANCY THANKS dies.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: A'dork'able (Your Next Stamp)
Dies: Apple, Letter Board, Notebook Edge, File Tab, Fancy Thanks, Circle and Stitching Mark Circle (Your Next Stamp), MFT scallop die
Paper: Simple Stories Smarty Pants
Other: Copic Markers, Versamark Ink, Recollections White embossing powder, Black Soot Distress Ink

Your Next Stamps Sketch/Colour Challenge # 6

It's once again time for another FUN FRIDAY challenge at YOUR NEXT STAMP!

Twice each month we offer you a new challenge that features a SKETCH

or COLOUR inspiration.

You can play along with either the sketch, colour of combine both together for an added challenge.

This week I played around with the fun sketch using the PERFECT CHEMISTRY stamp and die set. You will see the sketch design in the file folder behind our cute cute scientist. I just love sketches and finding ways to add my own flair.

To create the file folder I used the FILE TAB die on kraft cardstock. I folded the cardstock in half and added lined pattern paper for those secret chemistry notes. I decorated the folder with Doodlebug Love Bug paper and added stitching with the STITCHED LINE die. For a touch of sparkle and shine you will see the yummy Red CANDY APPLE RED GLITTERED GUMDROPS.

Of course the card would not be complete without a decorated inside.

You have until February 5th (midnight) to play along with challenge # 6. You can see more inspiration and link up your project over at Your Next Stamp.

One random participant will WIN a $15 gift card to the YNS store. However, if you feature a YNS stamp or die (must be the main focal point) you will receive and additional $5. Oh yeah! When you use a YNS image there is also a chance of being selected as a YNS Top Pick. That's right, bragging rights for you and a fabulous badge to show off on your blog! Sounds exciting right? Ink up your stamps and show us your crafty stuff!

Have a fabulous and crafty Friday friends!

Your Next Stamp January Sneak Peeks

Alright everyone, we are gearing up for the January release over at Your Next Stamp. I hope you are excited, because it is an amazing release?

Today, the Design team is sharing with you, a preview of some new images and dies, that are available tomorrow for the Your Next Stamp January release. If you head over to the YNS blog, you will find a list of all of the Design team girls that are sharing a peek project today.

For my card I used Tobi's Bear Hug and the fun File Tab Die.

There are some images and/or papers that say "distress me".  The adorable Tobi image worked perfectly with the Bo Bunny Star Crossed. I did a lot of inking with my favourite Vintage Photo distress ink and then frayed all of the edges of the paper. I added cheese cloth, which I coloured red with diluted watercolour paint. The flowers and heart charm are from Michaels.

I was a bit intimidated to colour this bear. I am never really sure what to do for animals fur. I just went with a flicking technique with my Copic markers, starting first with my darkest colour and working down. I think it worked out okay.

Here is a look a the inside of the card, complete with cute sentiment and my image re-stamped in a coordinating colour.

I hope you enjoy our little peek for the Your Next Stamp January release. Remember to check out all of the previews available from the design team. The complete list is on the YNS blog.

Then remember to come back tomorrow to join our January release blog hop. We have a lot of fun projects to share showing off this amazing release. You won't want to miss this.

Happy PEEKING everyone!

Tracy
